It's not mandatory for people in the Support Group to attend the job centre, in the first place. Neither do they need to justify anything or ask for any adaptation. They can do everything either online or over the phone. They do not have any claimant commitment, other than informing the DWP if their circumstances have changed. They're often asked to pop in the jobcentre to prove their identity, but they can do this online or over the phone.

This is actually worse than I thought with more coming out everyday it's shocking

The government is copying the experience of Ukraine and Russia. In Russia, carers for disabled relatives are paid from £10 to £200 a month, in Ukraine - £1 or nothing! However, in Ukraine, the carers gets a good bonus - the carer will not be taken to war!

WWhen you listen to the interview it doesn't sound positive she's saying she thinks mps will go for it and hope that helping people into work happens

Getting worse as more comes out honestly keeping pushing through finding hard to keep hopeful

It doesn't matter. For the sake of saving 5 bn, they will call white black and approve it in law. What is important is a principled protest against the cuts.

They will say can be helped with medication and doctors support I hate them for this is the worst ever humanity has gone it's normal to see tents and people sleeping in doorways this is not a new thing and them saying being homeless is illegal well less help as its OK to be homeless all the letters campaigning proof they have that this will be catastrophic ministers will pressure them into submission now it's thinking of ways to survive I prey that I'm wrong and the mps will do the right thing but you can imagine the ministers creeping around them offering the world I'm meant homeless isn't illegal

I will simply ask them what treatment is available for chronic fatigue that I haven’t been offered before.
I think as it stands vagrancy is against the law but parts of the law were scrapped giving police powers to move people on . According to what I’ve read Rayner intends to scrap it which could lead to tent cities with no powers of removal. I can’t see it helping anyone. They did this in USA and it had bad consequences apparently.0 -
This is what I’ve been saying. Kendall reckons it’ll be non negotiable, does that mean it will be down to NHS guidelines on lifelong conditions with no cure or assessors own opinion as it is now ?

Yes, I believe you can request your last award letter, I'm sure I did that a while ago as I lost my original one when I moved.

This is the key issue they keep avoiding. In my written correspondence with senior ministers, I specifically raised the question of who will be protected under the proposed changes. While they all replied, not one has provided a clear or honest answer.
They claim protection will be focused on “those with the most severe disabilities who will never be able to work,” but none of them has defined who exactly falls into that group. They just come back with the same vague mantra.
If they are promising automatic protection, why have they not clarified whether they will follow NHS guidelines or leave it to assessors? Adopting NHS criteria would make the process fairer and help prevent people from being wrongly denied support.
But if assessors still have the final say, we could end up right back where we started, with inconsistent and unfair decisions.
I am hoping the big reveal will finally come next week, and that Liz Kendall will at last provide the clarity so many of us have been asking for.

If it’s up to assessors then back benchers need to be made aware that this is already in in place with the light touch awards. The legal rep who helped me had never heard of it and others didn’t know how it worked so I guess it’s not award that often. Same as they say anyone with less than a year to live , that’s already in place surely? So only real concession is 13 weeks to buy yourself a tent

But you have those conditions every day even if the symptoms change . Like my ME and fibromyalgia. Every day pain but not always in the same place or same type of pain . Fatigued every day , dipping and raising throughout the day . Whereas some people have times of remission ( I think it’s called that but I’ve never had it so not sure) and then flare up . I’m like it daily . And though I’m on pain medication there’s no medication for fatigue. I’m literally supposed to rest every 15 minutes. Couldn’t sit in a chair all day even at home . And that’s just those two conditions.
