What really gets to me about these proposed changes is the government did not consider the impact on mental health and the lack of clarity. I do feel bad that when I been worried and down I posted at these low times. I do apologise if I added to others worries . I am sorry for this

So my pip reassessment telephone call was due last week at 9am and didn't sleep, preparing myself, the call was late only for the lady to tell me that the healthcare professional wasn't available so is rearranged for next week. They don't understand what you go through, at least still doing reassessments. What does it mean if I get pip award for certain amount of years concerning November 26? Also ESA just had letter telling me it continues, the non contribution based one.

I think it’s a good idea Charlie . They’re all for themselves no matter the party. Anything that gets them votes .

No one has ever said that having £6000/16000 is being rich.
"The shameful policy of mixing the disabled with the unemployed, refugees and the like bears its bitter fruits."
Such a mixture exists only in your head, because you want disabled people to be given exclusive first-class treatment, as if they were super humans and unemployed people and refugees were not human beings at all. For your information, unemployed people and refugees are no less human than anyone else, including disabled people.
I don't see any shameful policy but wicked judgement of yours.
Again, for your information, every human being deserves "a safe existence" and not only disabled people.
There's no reason to treat disabled people exclusively as if the rest of the society were responsible for the disability of disabled people.
"bears its bitter fruits."
What fruits? Nigel Farage's far-right company winning more seats? You must be out of your mind if you believe that Nigel Farage would treat disabled better. Yeah, he'll expulse all refugees and immigrants and will make you life a little paradise, offering you annual safari, beach, Disney Walt holidays, and trips to the North Pole to reach the world's northernmost point traveling by icebreaker ship or helicopter!
Finally, you should bette take the issue of capital limits to determine benefits eligibility to those who put it in place, rather than blaming unemployed people and refugees.

Hi luvpink,
I don’t think when means testing is mentioned it means people just over a certain amount or those with savings . I can only speak for myself but it’s millionaires and those on very high incomes. Look at David Cameron for instance. He claimed DLA for his son though he’s a millionaire. My point is yes legally he was entitled to but for us whether we work on a low wage or cannot work we rely on pip . We would be destitute if we lost it . We know when it’s coming into our accounts as we need it . For some like Cameron it’s just extra and if they lost it they wouldn’t feel the effect as we would. I’ve lost pip in the past and esa at the same time and was in a terrible state . But it wouldn’t have affected me if I were a millionaire or very well off .

It seems Liz Kendall hasn't got a clue about what she's talking about! She said, "Benefit cuts are key to fighting Reform in Red Wall"!
Neither do Reform voters know what they're voting for, as the largest number of benefit claimants, unemployed, and poorest people in the whole country are found among Reform voters.
Guess what - poorest people in the country were the largest number of people who voted Brexit, yet they've become the hardest hit of it impacts . Sounds you get what you vote for!

I agree . I have invisible conditions and I feel I’m looked as a fake as I look fine . When I’m bad people don’t see me . Everyone has a story of I have a neighbour etc who gets pip and is fine yet I can’t get it . But you don’t know how someone suffers behind closed doors .

I think right now there’s no one else to vote for . People gave labour a chance and that’s made the situation worse. Come an actual election would Reform voters who are disabled really vote for them ? I think all three parties are losing the disabled vote yet they keep telling us there are millions of people who are disabled.

I don't think you need to apologise at all @Topcat71 - if you can't post on here when you're feeling low and get some support I think there is something wrong here 🤷♀️🫂. I don't come on here as much, mostly for the same reason as @mrsBB has mentioned. It's enough to be 'fighting' the government, certainly don't expect it on here. I hope you get the support you need on here and don't feel you have to 'be positive' for others' benefit when it's not how you feel. Take good care.

People vote Reform not because Reform is offering any better treatment, if not worse, but they want to send a message to Labour and the Cons to tell them that they're betrayed and used and that from now onward they're willing to vote even for the devil in person instead.

They played a similar trick on me . I was down as having phone assessment and recorded . Dwp wrote that and I called Atos to confirm. 30 mins before the call they called to say it’s booked with someone who can’t record . Then blamed dwp and said it’s dwp who book appointments
