I'm confused about this 'more engagement will be expected' in the green paper proposals for disabled people, it seems very vague, will this mean going to JCP (not possible) or more likely a message in your journal asking how you are, and can you do any work? Well neither are possible for myself, I just wish they'd leave us alone, if I need help I'll ask for it, and not from the dangerous and unsympathetic DWP!!

Sneaky how she didn't do it in parliament and behind closed doors, she knows her lies would would come out more, I agree Catherine totally unacceptable how they are treating us she will know what she is putting us through all the more evil of a person she is

Totally, I rely on family to help me a lot with meals and drinks and lately I've caused them to have anxiety around me. its hard to explain how all this makes you feel there are just no words

Oh I see . Someone replied but I can’t remember who now but they said it was possibly based on something said in march before the facts were known. Now they’ve said it’s cruel .

don't we have the right to the minutes from the meeting under the freedom of information act ?

I'm not sure to be honest, guessing if behind closed doors we wouldn't get the proper information anyway.
They want this to go through so no information available is probably the choice of the government I'm guessing

It doesn't matter how disabled and sick people are and even long term. It only takes a lying assessor to destroy people's outcome and let's face it they are All liars.

"liars" ? not to mention the directives that will be sent down from parliament ….
let's make no bones about it, they'll be under strict instructions to be very critical when it comes to point scoring ….
the government will probably be worse off with all the ensuing appeals and tribunals ….
bring it on ….. because i for one won't be accepting rejection of pip without a fight 💪
i'll also be recording the assessment

A FOI request will probably take a while, but I'm confident there are organisations out there already asking for one! We'll hear something before long, I just pray we'll like the direction the meeting went in 😔

Even with all medical evidence I’ve been given zero points . And it’s not just assessors either. The tribunal not only awarded no points but tried to remove points if been given by a MR. The worst person on the panel was the disabled person. I ended up going to the upper tribunal as the dwp admitted they erred in law .

Thanks for that, I was worried it might be to force you into work (mandatory) surely there are those of us who just can't work because of mental or physical illness, can we just say thanks, but not interested, too unwell and they say no worries we'll contact you again in a few months?
I know you don't know all the answers, you seem a bit more clued up than me about this green paper thing!!😊

Yes I agree that it depends on how you come across which could be different each time and that depends on the vibes you get from the person doing the assessment and not putting over what you need to jepordising your claim. Last time I froze and panicked and went to appeal
This is why paper assessment would eradicate this you'd be genuine to both people. Like a driving test as opposed to being judged over 30 mins get a better impression over a longer period of time like what would happen via GP.
I sent a letter from my GP and they contacted her but all the info she gave could be insignificant depending on assessors impression of me who doesn't know me.
I guess you keep getting pip until a decision is made as it takes a while I've heard too.
Regards

@bton1968 makes me anxious about my tomorrow reassessment, me thinking that the new harder to score points comes in next year, I have 10 points in daily living for unfamiliar places and two's for other things.
@secretsquirrel1 my GP says she will eat her hat if what with all evidence she has given via a letter she gave me to send and what she said when they contacted her. I've got notes, stuff about my last claim where I scored etc. things I've read making me really worried about tomorrow morning 😔 even though I was told it is better to have reassessment now than after Nov next year.
