Lily Blackburn was recognised on BBC’s The One Show after raising more than £75,000 for Haven House Children’s Hospice through a series of inspiring fundraising challenges.
As part of the programme’s One Big Thank You series, the 13-year-old received a surprise appearance from former One Direction star Zayn Malik in recognition of the extraordinary difference she has made to seriously ill children and families supported by Haven House.
Diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy and Autism at the age of two and told she may never walk independently, Lily has continually defied expectations through her courage, determination and generosity.
