Your work is awesome.  I have an interest in digital art or at least exploring it but I am unsure if the best programme for a beginner on a MacBook air.

These looks fantastic @wanderlustkingg. Where do you get your inspiration from? Have you enjoyed working with digital art?

We have so many incredibly talented people in our community. From photography to needlework and glass, pottery and painting (not to mention woodwork and other working mediums) SCOPE has it covered and we can all be very proud indeed of our achievements, as well as the obvious enjoyment that we 'artists' receive ourselves by creating our work and the pleasure we provide to all who see them.

I strongly feel that a kind of 'National Exhibition' should be in the making, as art crosses all boundaries and there is nothing to suggest that any of our works are less important, desirable or beautiful than any able bodied persons. Many of our creations are quite simply World-Class and I am of the opinion that they should be seen by the masses.

"Well Done" each and every one of YOU!

Thank You @AlisonNetty. One of these days I'll get them finished as lamps, but I get distracted by other things. I will finish them though... eventually :-)

Hi @marmalade, Good hearing from you and I hope you're coping better now with your difficulties.

Which 'picture idea' are you thinking of? The coloured pictures are not my work, AlsionNetty produced those, Great aren't they!

Here is one my carved glass panels, shown unlit and then when lit from beneath by a lamp base which I make from wood. The glass is affected like a fibre-optic when it is lit immediately upon the bottom edge of the glass. It is not lit from behind. The electrical lamp fittings are all hidden inside the base and only the glass is on view, standing upright in a vertical position.

It took over ten years to learn the techniques involved to create these pieces, and the equipment is expensive. :-(  Here's another that I created and have finished. All crafted from wood, and using 3 1930s French Art Deco opalescent glass fish, by Lacroix.

Before and during the making process.

The end result. The base is not marble, I painted it to look like that. The 3 fish are suspended in mid air.

Wow these are stunning @Roddy.  There is so much skill in working with glass and so much to learn.  I would live to think I would be that good in 10 years but I doubt it.
