    Wow these are stunning @Roddy.  There is so much skill in working with glass and so much to learn.  I would live to think I would be that good in 10 years but I doubt it.
    There are low cost  'etching' effect paints that you can get, and they give a frosted finish on glass. They are easy to apply too. You can also use stencils with the paint or simply brush the paint on the glass. If you look on the site that begins with 'e' and ends in 'bay' you will find them and they can be posted to your home address... The frosting also comes as a spray if you want to frost a large area...Give it a try @marmalade you may be pleased with result... Use a soft brush to apply the frosting, and try to apply a thin and even coat so that it's not too streaky. You can always apply a second coat once the frosting effect has dried... you can also lay flat sheet of glass on top of lined drawing and simply 'trace' the design using your brush! Or how about using the frosting upon a small mirror? Or even a wine glass for example, as once the frosting is dry, it is safe to drink from the glass and it wont wash off if you just rinse the glass and let it air-dry without using a cloth.  You can also experiment by adding a few drops of your coloured glass paints! The world is Your oyster when it comes to Art, and you already have the ability to create some good works.

    @Adrian_Scope,

    I am wondering if SCOPE would think it a good idea to hole some kind of exhibition, perhaps at its Offices for example, as possible fundraising event or to show case some of its members Art work & Crafts?

    Members could perhaps submit 2 examples for SCOPE to consider, and then if able, mail them to Your offices with the understanding that SCOPE may not be able to return the items and are not liable for damage etc.

    There truly have been some amazing examples on these pages, created by people of all ages and disabilities which surely should be seen elsewhere if possible, and I'm sure that many would be only to pleased to help with promoting the event as much as they are able, whilst also donating their work freely for your Fundraising... Confidentially would be simple to implement as only their member id need be added.

    Have you any thoughts about this please?

    They are fantastic cards, @Craftychoco!  Glad you enjoy making them.  I make cards too at times and really find it therapeutic, but mine are no way as good as yours!  Welcome to the Community.  :smile:

    Aw thank you so so much... The use of a machine to cut out a lot of the pieces helps to make it look a bit neater and saves my hands too! ?

    Hi all. I'm new on the Scope site today and was over the moon to find a creative section. I use card making, colouring and journaling to keep me going through the chronic pain and fatigue I suffer from. I can go weeks without doing anything or have a week of being able to craft every day. I honestly don't know how I would cope without a creative outlet. Below are a few cards I've made.
    Fabulous work. Very well done!

    Wow, have you ever thought about this as a career?

    Thank you so much, that's so kind of you. I've made a few for friends and to raise money for a charity event but having long term chronic physical conditions means I can't guarantee how many I can make or how often. In an ideal world it would certainly be my plan.... In the meantime I live the calm and (actually) the lessening of pain for a while whilst I do them before the flare because of been doing them for too long!! ?

    You're very talented @Craftychoco. Perhaps you should look at selling some of these on Folksy or Etsy when you feel able?

    Hi, your cards are lovely. I used to make cards, but it can be an expensive hobby. xx

    @pollyanna1052 Brilliant work, Pollyanna, and a marvellous idea! It goes to show that craftwork needn't cost a fortune to obtain good results. I like the "K" one myself, as not only is blue my favourite colour, but my daughter's name begins with a K.  The boxes look a good size too, making them handy for a variety of things... somebody else on here will have to start thinking about knitting some large Christmas Stockings?
