Hello! Lovely to meet everybody.
I love anything to do with art/poetry/writing, I find I feel most ' myself ' when I am doing artistic things and I love how calm it can make me feel.
I painted this when we experienced the lovely sunny weather I have loved seing everybody else's talents on this page.

@Grinchy I think your masks are fantastic! I know how much time/effort things like that take because my uncle is a sculptor and he makes masks of a simalar nature for his nephew!0
-
thank you @fairybellsxo, love the sunflowers to, i like your artwork it has a cool style, do you use watercolours? very nice, glad you like the masks, thought i'd put people off posting with my horrible heads1
-
@grinchy Thankyou! people have said I have a style of my own, I often worry my paintings are too amateur/childlike and it stops me from continuing on! I tend to just go with the flow and things tend to just ' happen ' I do use watercolors my brother got me them for Christmas! so I have been practicing with them alot!
They're really cool! My uncle strangely enough enjoys sculpting horror masks and things! and loves his scifiiiiiiiii just like you! so it's not something that comes as a shock to me0 -
Hey @fairybellsxo, no problem, you certainly do have a cool style, not amateur at all, would love to see more, keep on with your art, its great therapy when your feeling low as you know, once my head is in a better space i plan on getting back to sculpting, your uncle sounds like a cool dude!0

@Grinchy Thanks! that's the best compliment, really appreciate your kind words. It really is it helps me immensely when im having a tough day, It all goes into creating something more ' productive ' and that's why it helps me ) You should totally get into that, it means you can get lost and zone out to something and your very talented at it, so it would be a shame for that to go to waste, you should only create when your feeling up to it though0

@fairybellsxo, no problem, i do miss my artwork, its been a while since i made anything, i've been out today tidying round and sorting my paint station out, so at least its a bit more tidy, organised chaos , i bought another few bags of clay so i'm ready to start again when i'm ready, thanks for your nice comments, i do appreciate them0
-
@Grinchy You should post some of them up once you've got yourself up and running! id love to see the end result, your welcome!0
-
Cheers @fairybellsxo I have been asked how i make these busts, its a long process but basically, i sculpt in clay, then make a mould in plaster or silicone, then i pour in liquid rubber to make the skin of the character, that is then backed with a two part soft expanding foam, i open the mould and paint the rubber head, heres a few sculptures i made

Designed one of these oversized cardigans for my daughter and had an order for one from one of her friends. I used to be known as the keeper of the great unfinished projects - not any more! ?2

I wrote a poem about the current situation I hope it helps in some way.
Wishful and wistful.
To dream of normality,
In a world of new belongings,
To hope and feel settled,
With unsettled grace. To ponder the chances,
of chance-less fate,
To offer the possibility,
of a probable haste. To a path that follows,
A wander-less stroll,
A river flowing,
Bountiful, gold.To be wishful and wistful,
is an unusual thing,
but in times like these,
the birds, still sing.1 -
@Grinchy Those are FANTASTIC you should look into prop making etc, I bet you'd be brilliant at that kind of thing0
