Welcome

sben

I have epilepsy, in which I have been suffering for over 7 years.
I also have a gait disorder, which has been affecting my mobility for over 6 years.

Hello @sben and welcome back to the community, how are you?

Thank you for telling us about your conditions, do you receive enough support from health professionals to manage those? Are you coping well with them?

I hope to see you getting involved around the community

sben

Hi Ross_Scope
There is not much support at the moment for epilepsy and gait disorder.
It is very tricky to get support for neurology care.

Ross_Alumni

I'm sorry to hear that @sben, hopefully that changes soon. Despite the lack of support, how are you managing with your conditions?

sben

It is quite difficult to deal with.

Hi and welcome

Tori_Scope

I'm sorry to hear that too @sben. Do you take any medication to help manage your epilepsy? Is your GP aware that you're finding it difficult to deal with?

sben

Hi Tori_Scope
I do take medication, and my GP is aware of the situation, but I still have a lot of seizures.

Tori_Scope

Do you have a support network of friends or family around you who could check-in on you to make sure you're okay @sben?

sben

Hi Tori_Scope

I don't have any one, I am on my own.
