    Hello to the Scope community

I have written a poem for Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month. I would appreciate getting your advice on whether you reckon I need to change aspects of the poem

     CP Awareness poem

We have had to learn to become fighters.

We can not let our conditions define us.

We  have a special gift of inner strength to prove our doubts wrong

Who for long people thought we were  weak and that we had futures were bleak

I  feel we are very unique in our own little way.

As we are able to  ink our arms  together  to fight for change

We have hidden talents with us, we need to take the time home our talents

We can succeed in what we want to do in our lives.

As we strive, knock the barriers that have been placed on us.

We are thankful to our parents for giving us life

We can use our talents to hopefully change people's perspectives. People with Cerebral Palsy are very creative people. We fill our lives with happiness by achieving our goals we set ourselves each day.

I agree with Richard, I think this is one of your best poems so far. I particularly like the flow in the first few lines, it's a great opening and draws you in and makes you want to read more.

I really don't think you need to change anything. You could look for a synonym for 'talents' so it isn't said twice in the same line but it's not necessarily as it works well even with it.

Really great work @Globster. Will you be sharing it anywhere else?
