How are we all diddling this week? I hope November is being kind to you

@Cher_Scope

I’ve bought a few Christmas presents this week for family members - a Mary Berry cook book and recipe tin for my Mum and a bench vice for my Dad - and have just driven through a drive-thru car wash for the first time! It was exciting! What about you?

@66Mustang How productive!! I need to get thinking about Christmas presents too
Yey, how did you find it? The first time I went through one the brushes scared me

@66Mustang Oooh and I'm just about to finish work and then need to bob to the supermarket for some food before settling down to Netflix. I'm hoping the supermarket won't be too busy

I forgot to close the window until one of my passengers reminded me

I thought I was going backwards at one point but it was just the rollers moving forwards haha - it was good though and it did a great job!0 -
@66Mustang Yes!! I've had that too, it can feel a bit disorientating but it's quite fun! It's good to give our cars some TLC now and again

I had a medical appointment with the psychiatrist at the community mental health centre and it was cancelled because the doctor was called away for an emergency.

Luckily I have been booked in for some psychology sessions at the specialist clinic that I am under though, so not all bad news!0 -
That's frustrating @66Mustang! Are they reorganising for another day?
That's good news
How are you feeling about it? 0 -
Thanks for asking
I am getting a new appointment but I’m not sure when it will be. I hope I don’t have to wait weeks for another appointment like a new patient but I guess I can’t just skip the queue as that would be unfair on others, although they could have some spare appointments in reserve for situations like mine. You could look at it both ways I guess.
My main help is coming from the specialist clinic though and I’m really glad to be having some more psychology there. It has been really helpful in the past and I am excited about the prospect of moving forwards

Hopefully you won't have to wait too long @66Mustang! Yeah, maybe they'll have other cancellations or last minute appointments pop-up.
Great, well that all sounds really positive
Let us know how you get on! 1 -
I will

I have just eaten a bit of crusty bread and lost my tooth

I fell over and broke my two front teeth a few years ago so have fillings in their place and one just came out in the bread!

Off to the dentist tomorrow I think

Well I’ve had my tooth repaired, less than 24 hours after it broke. All better now. I’ve been told to avoid crusty bread!!0

I’ve got an appointment at the dentist the week after next.. I need to check they are still open during lockdown. I’ve been getting a bit of tooth ache recently. It’s my own fault as during the first lockdown I was eating a lot of sugary snacks and chocolate, so quite worried I’m going to need fillings done.
Today has been a lazy Sunday. I couldn’t get to sleep last night and was up until 4am. I got up at 12 today, had brunch, had a look on bbc news and did my own 2 minute silence. I put a wash on and did an hour or so of my online course. Then I started watching ‘The Walking Dead’, I’m on season 9 at the moment. Going to have fajitas for tea, so going to make them soon. Then I’ll watch a film with my boyfriend and try and get to sleep earlier than last night and get up earlier tomorrow too!1 -
@Marie88 I can’t speak for all of them but my dentist is open to past patients but you need to do a few things before you go in like have your temperature checked, sanitise your hands and wash your mouth out with mouthwash. Also mine is only letting one patient in at a time so you need to wait outside until your pre booked appointment.0
-
I absolutely love fajitas @marie88, were they nice?
I hope you got a better night of sleep last night

@66Mustang I’ve checked with my dentist and they are open but will contact me the day before to make sure I don’t have any symptoms. They didn’t mention having temperature taken or using mouthwash! Maybe I’ll have to do that though! I’m not looking forward to it I’ve always hated the dentist but good to get it out the way!@Tori_Scope I didn’t actually end up having them, I had something easy from the freezer instead! Probably have them at the weekend, I always buy frozen chicken pieces and onion and pepper as makes it easier and then I don’t have to worry about them going off quickly as I find the dates on Tesco fresh food aren’t great (I usually get a delivery every week as I live in a small town and our local supermarket is really expensive!)0
-
@Marie88 it may just be my dentist that has those procedures. Also I forgot to mention the dentist was all PPEd up with a breathing mask on as well which I can understand given they are working on peoples mouths.@woodbine not going to say whether I agree but the word you used to describe a small person is seen as not politically correct these days!
I have just been for a drive and now am settling down for the night! What’s everyone else up to!0
