Don't worry @woodbine! As @66Mustang said, I'm sure we all know you didn't intend to cause any offence.
Once I've finished work I'm going to decorate a Toblerone Tart I made yesterday and left to set overnight. It looks good, so I'm hoping it'll turn out well.1 -
@Tori_Scope I’ve never heard of a Toblerone tart but as someone who likes Toblerone it sounds interesting......... please share some pictures of it if you can!0
-
I use frozen veg a lot as well @Marie88, so that I don't end up throwing things away. I try to eat vegetarian on the whole, and I actually made halloumi fajitas for my tea last night. Delicious!0
-
I will try and remember to take some before we devour it @66Mustang
Decoration is not my strong point, but I'm going to give piping a go.
This is the recipe I used.1 -
Wow that looks really nice!!!1

Save me a slice of your toblerone tart please!0

Not the best decoration in the world, but pretty happy with how it turned out! It tastes delicious, and that's the most important thing.
I'll post you a slice @Cher_Scope

Thank you @66Mustang! My housemates and I are taking it in turns to bake during lockdown to keep us going. They're both good bakers so there was some pressure to make something that was at least edible
I've got no idea what I'll make next time it's my turn... 0 -
@Tori_Scope That looks amazing well done you
Try a lemon drizzle cake next or any type as cheescake as they are quite easy. Or an ice cream flan just do biscuit base then buy ice cream eg vanilla and add stuff like choc chips fruit mix it all up with the ice cream and put on top of the biscuit base and freeze2 -

OH, I WISH I'D LOOKED AFTER MY TEETHbyPam Ayres
Oh, I wish I'd looked after me teeth, And spotted the perils beneath, All the toffees I chewed, And the sweet sticky food, Oh, I wish I'd looked after me teeth. I wish I'd been that much more willin' When I had more tooth there than fillin' To pass up gobstoppers, From respect to me choppers And to buy something else with me shillin'. When I think of the lollies I licked, And the liquorice allsorts I picked, Sherbet dabs, big and little, All that hard peanut brittle, My conscience gets horribly pricked. My Mother, she told me no end, "If you got a tooth, you got a friend" I was young then, and careless, My toothbrush was hairless, I never had much time to spend. Oh I showed them the toothpaste all right, I flashed it about late at night, But up-and-down brushin' And pokin' and fussin' Didn't seem worth the time... I could bite! If I'd known I was paving the way, To cavities, caps and decay, The murder of fiIlin's Injections and drillin's I'd have thrown all me sherbet away. So I lay in the old dentist's chair, And I gaze up his nose in despair, And his drill it do whine, In these molars of mine, "Two amalgum," he'll say, "for in there." How I laughed at my Mother's false teeth, As they foamed in the waters beneath, But now comes the reckonin' It's me they are beckonin' Oh, I wish I'd looked after me teeth.

Lots of shouting going on downstairs today. I think a family member is annoyed about something. I don’t like arguments, it really affects me.

Oh no, I'm sorry to hear that @66Mustang. I hate arguments and shouting too. Are you able to put some headphones on to drown out the noise?0
-
@Tori_Scope yes I listened to Top Gear through my headphones for a little while and it was OK in the end
thanks 1 -
@leeCal Love that Pam Ayres poem and how I relate. Why did I eat all them fizzy cola bottle when I was a young one!
@66Mustang Glad it quietened for you, I don't like arguing either. How are you feeling today? Do you have much planned?
