Of course you want to know @Bunmum - & hopefully you'll hear sooner rather than later. Kindly let us all know how you get on, thank you. Meanwhile please do join in with any discussions of interest on the forum, or come for a chat & word games in our virtual 'Coffee lounge.'0

Dan2three, thanks for that. I didn’t know you could ask for this. Well, I kind of assumed it would be sent with the decision ..? But I could call them tomorrow and ask for it could I? X0

They don't automatically send it with the decision letter. If you do request it, when you receive it please remember that it's not the decision letter. It's a recommendation from the HCP.

What can I do any help appreciated?Do you mean a text saying DWP have received your assessment report? If so then it looks like you've had a paper based assessment and the telephone call was just to ask a few quick questions before writing the report.Now you need to wait for the decision which can be anything up to 8 weeks, sometimes longer.

Hi, it was 20 weeks from the date I received the text to say they had my application to get my assessment. And I’m on week two after my assessment so 22 weeks so far. I applied in April and we are soon going in to October.0

@tanya2595 hi tanya, I have just read your comments and struggle with same things as you and I can't talk on the phone. my partner was made appointee. I have severe anxiety, ptsd, adhd and auditory processing disorder and my partner does everything for me that he is able to, but I still get daily panic attacks. The mandatory reconsideration as rejected and have no award. a friend of my partners and mine who is an anxiety therapist did the assessment call with me and spoke on behalf of me and reworded things to me and answered on my behalf. but the assessor said I had no anxiety or mental health diagnosis which are both wrong. I have a lot of medications, adhd diagnosis letter, counsellor support letter. I don't speak to anyone as I get too confused or overwhelmed and misunderstand all communication, and when I am forced to do so it takes me days to recover and be calmed down. my partner said that pip have sent my medical evidence back to the original assessment people to look at the mandatory reconsideration again. Do you have any idea what this means? My partner has tried to communicate to me what is happening but its lead to another panic attack as I can barely understand him half the time, unless its written down clearly. thank you for reading and I hope you have a claim.0

Do you have any idea what this means?When requesting the MR a different decision maker looks at all evidence again before making a decision. It could be that they found some contradictions in the report so they returned it to the health assessment providers. It doesn't mean anything other than this.Once a decisions made on the MR you will receive the decision letter. This can take anywhere up to 12 weeks, sometimes longer.1

You didn't say anything wrong so please don't worry. I can only guess what the reason is for this, as i've not heard of this happening before. Hopefully, you'll hear something more soon.

@poppy123456
sorry what is the guess of the reason it has happened? I think my partner said that pip said the extra medical information we provided for the MR was not something PIP could award points for so this is why it was sent back to original assent people. It was only the original evidence that the assessment people did not include, not extra evidence, so im really confused. But if you haven't heard it happening before Im sure ive got it wrong. thank you so much for the message, I know im not making any sense.0 -
When I said “guess” what I meant was I can’t tell you the reason why this has happened. The only ones that can tell you exactly what’s happening is PIP.1
