@Sandy_123 Yep, that's stage hypnotism and it's a completely different thing.  I've done that and ended up with my hand stuck to my head lol.  This just takes you into a state of deep relaxation.  Would highly recommend x

@coylygirl I would be to scared  to do hypnosis in case it opened things up that I am trying to forget

I am glad it works for you though

@lisathomas50 you might need bigger vibrating poles for a human mole ( I really don't know where this is going)  but it's funny somehow

@lisathomas50 It depends on the type of therapy you have, but my therapist doesn't focus on past trauma, just the present and hopes for the future.  I don't think 'regression' therapy where you go back would be helpful/  Hope you are well x

@Sandy_123 Yep, I have used it for several conditions.  Just have to find a therapist you feel comfortable with.  I am very lucky that my therapist is an old school friend, so I trust her and relate to her  :)

I've seen some weird looking vibrating poles on Amazon. They twist and dance and all sorts! Human moles would be going around with a smile on their little faces ;-) Now I'd better shut up before I get told off!

I've never tried hypnotism, apart from self hypnosis which I think is a very different thing. I used to know someone who did it for relaxation to other people. I have a feeling it wouldn't work on me because I don't seem to be able to relax and "blank my mind". I also have problems with meditation and mindfulness. A therapist also told me that CBT wouldn't work on me because my autism gets in the way. I imagine it would be nice to get out of my head a bit for a while :-)
