So far so good.
I have been accepted into gcse maths and english at the college, cuz I have passed level 1 functional skills maths and english.
after I pass gcse (I hope I will), I want to do an access course digital security, and then go to uni one day.
I hope I will succeed!!1 -
Well done @monsieur! That's fantastic news
It sounds like you have things planned out, which is positive.
What interests you about digital security?0 -

What interests you about digital security?Well, I have been learning this stuff for years now, in my home. I have learnt a lot about different operation systems, networking, firewalls, etc. etc, how to stay secure online and I still want to learn more... That's one of my hobbies, that one day might become my daily job!L_Volunteer said:Happy birthday @janer1967. I hope you are having a great day!

Well, I wasn't surprised when I found that I passed my functional skills (level1) maths and english, as that was easy stuff... I remembered lots from school in Poland, so that was easy peasy, and received really good results! I hope that gcse's will go as good as level1 :P.SueHeath said:Well done @monsieur thats great news - don't forget if you want it hard enough you can succeed in more things that you think. Don't look back always look forward.
Thank you :-)I am glad that I have got a lot of free time, and I decided to spend it for learning and getting qualifications! I am still young!! I might go to uni one day, and become a really smart guy!1 -

What interests you about digital security?Well, in 2017 my grandma bought me a new laptop, so I was originally into playing windows games, but few months later I got bored of them, and became tired of Windows as well, so I decided to give linux a go in 2018, and since then I have learnt a lot about operation systems, command lines, etc. etc., and currently I've got a secure laptop from minifree.org and unix-like operation system OpenBSD. I love to learn new things about networking, servers, programming, firewalls, etc. etc. and I am hoping to become a specialist one day and work from home :-). I am also a drummer, so I am hoping to have my own house one day with a little home music studio (with a drumkit) and my own nice PC! And just work from home!
My dream is to have a house by the beach, on the seaside... It might be possible, once I get some qualifications... I should be okay passing GCSE, because the teachers will probably prepare me and other students for exams.L_Volunteer said:Happy birthday @janer1967. I hope you are having a great day!

Well, I am feeling good, that I have got a lot of free time to do what I want, and I decided to start studying and spend my time for learning new things. I have passed my level 1 exams great, with really good results... I hope that GCSE's results will be as good as level 1. :P
When I found out that I passed all my exams (english and maths), well I wasn't surprised that much. It was easy stuff! I doubt it that GCSE's will be much harder!SueHeath said:Well done @monsieur thats great news - don't forget if you want it hard enough you can succeed in more things that you think. Yeah, I know.... Getting some qualifications is the only chance for me to stay in this Country. If I fail at the college, I will probably go back to my own Country...

Thank you, had a quiet day as still recovering from Covid, but slowly on the mend.
