I'm off out tonight to pub for meal and drinks

@SueHeath that’s good ha ha I only had one single yesterday, I ration my drinks these days   it was very nice though, I think it will be my “special” whisky!!!

Never been a fan of Whiskey although when I was younger my grandma used to put a tiny drop in a cup of tea for me, apparently it was some very weird family tradition!
Was quite a long day yesterday so looking forward to having some 'me' time today.

Whisky is a very varied drink and I’d maybe try a couple before deciding it’s not for you - I really don’t like certain whisky. Many whiskys are “peated” and taste like smoke, which I am not a fan of. I prefer a lighter whisky.

That said it certainly is an acquired taste and I can understand not liking it at all.

That certainly is an interesting tradition!! Maybe it was to offset the caffeine?

"back in the day" ha ha, they used to put whiskey (only drips) in babies milk, it was ment to help them sleep when they were teething, well that's what my own Mom told me, she gave it to me and all my siblings when we were babies - i wouldn't try it on my own tho ha ha x

Been doing some of those jobs I'd put off, feel better now some are done.

Had to entertain two very hot/miserable grand children this afternoon while poor old grand dad helped son plane some doors after new carpet was layed x

I haven'y seen the carpet yet @Teddybear12 I had the children at ours and they all ended up having Tea here ha ha - what was ment to be two doors ended up as four and no bag on electric sander didn't go down well with all the dust they had to clean up before Daughter in Law came home from work ha ha xx

was too hot last night    bedroom temp said 28 degrees
i woke up few times

plus my poorly cat oscar had a smelly accident on my rug at midnight

Yep fed up with this kind of heat now, will be nice to get some rain to freshen things up a bit.
