When did you last go out for a meal?

Mine was in November, for my birthday, in that period between the lock downs.

    Yes that makes sense

Im looking forward to a meal out but in no rush to go as I don’t like crowds and everyone is doing it at the moment!

Hopefully warmer weather and you can try quieter restaurants, or pubs out in the country side

    Yes indeed hopefully :)

That’s a nice idea actually. I like driving round the countryside anyway so I will keep an eye out for quiet looking pubs or restaurants.

How's everyone diddling today?  Does anyone have any exciting plans to share?  Not much to report on my side, just looking forward to some nice food later and a bit of telly watching.

@Sandy_123 Enjoy your rest and coffee!  I think I'm with you on the go-slow :)

@Cher_Scope I'm in a similar camp with just some nice food and a beer or 2 or maybe a glass of wine. What food are you planning on having?

    That sounds nice @66Mustang :)

My partner's from Greece originally. So it's Greek Easter in our house this weekend. That means that tonight we're still fasting and observing the religious festival. Not much to report in terms of an interesting tea tonight, then!

But tomorrow we celebrate with a bit of traditional lamb kleftiko. Lovely. What about everybody else?

It certainly does sound delicious, Greek food is so tasty!

@66Mustang I wish I could say I was having some culinary extravagance but it's a jacket potato and cheese kinda day.  I might also have a cheeky chocolate bun lined up for after though! Oooft what I'd give for a glass of wine  :D <sips on lemonade>

Morning all, suns out, what you all up to today? I wouldn't mind going to a car boot sale but they get too busy and no smaller ones near me.

    Morning @Sandy_123 :)

A car boot sale sounds good. I've spotted a few adverts for some of those round our way. As you say though, I would think they're all going to be pretty busy. Particularly over the bank holiday weekend.

Have you decided what else you might do instead? And what's everybody else up to today?

I've got my son's Bedlington terrier today. So far all is peaceful, as my cat seems to have gone into hiding, but I usually have to keep them apart as he just wants to chase her! :)

I'm going to potter round the house, tidy up. Its a shame mayday was cancelled, by me they have stalls and events every year, all out side so shame its not on.

@22Putney ours is usually good, old classic cars, busses and motor bikes, tombola stalls and hook the duck etc, fresh food from farm shop stalls and burger vans, plus maypole dancers and tug of war, bouncy castles etc.
There are some fab low carbon recipes on line.

@chiarieds animals are so funny to watch, smart cat hiding

Ahhh how nice! Ours where a Victorian type with swing boats and the usual side stalls, and part further, away with a small car boot sales, years ago now,  but really nice day, I think the fair is still there, I purchased a picture very inexpensive, I loved it, my friend move to Ireland, and she, always stared at the picture, I asked her if she would like it, she always said no, on a visit few years back, I managed to get her accept it, and could not get it on the plane home, it cost her son £33.00 plus to send it by post, I rembererd it when you mentioned the fair! the picture is still hanging on her wall....I paid very little for it.....happy memories, Thank you.
