@66Mustang Oooh is the assignment about anything interesting? In an odd way, I miss essay writing!
Tonight I'm seeing a group of my friends for the first time since last October Looking forward to much gossip and mocktails.1 -
It’s about the economic impacts of further taxing or introducing a minimum price on alcohol!
Quite interesting and there are good arguments on both sides. Luckily I don’t have to make a decision I just have to assess both sides of the argument!
Wow that’s something great to look forward to. I hope you have a nice time0 -
@66Mustang Oooer that's a juicy debate and one which I also don't have a clue about You might have to enlighten us as to the pros and cons one day!
Ahh thank you, I'm sure I will and also I have an excuse to come home early now I'm pregnant wahey. Do you have anything nice planned for the weekend?0 -
I don’t have anything planned though am hoping to go for a nice drive or two
The week days still seem the same as the weekends at the moment0 -
Been sleeping most of the day as I am working tonight my first pay day lol ?0
-
Oh, pay day! I bet that's a nice feeling for you @lisathomas50
How's thing going with the new job by the way? Have you started to settle in a bit more yet? And are you enjoying it?

Good evening Sandy,
I haven't been on here for over a month now & im back.
Hope you're having a lovely day?
The reason ì haven't been on here is that i find it so hard trying to find messages about all my illnesses
And other topics im interested in.
Id like to make new friends & help & support others only problem is i don't know where to start?
Id be very grateful if you can give me some advice/help please?
Take care.0 -
Hello @Queenofdisabilities
I know you've popped a message on for Sandy. But I thought I might drop you a quick line as well, if that's OK?
My name's Caz. I'm still fairly new to the online community team. I have read some of your posts from a little while back. But I don't think we've had a proper chat before now, have we?
How are you getting on with things? I know you've said that you're finding it a bit tricky to connect and find messages about things that you're interested in. What kinds of things do you fancy having a chat about this evening? That might be a good place to start for now?

Hi @Queenofdisabilities - may I also add that it's not so obvious, but there's also a 'Search' bar at the top of the page.....at least for me using a desktop computer. You could for example search for 'fibromyalgia,' which I know a lot of our members have too.As well as our virtual 'Coffee lounge,' you could also look at the 'Recent discussions.'You could also look at the 'All groups' section to try & find links to your disabilities. Not everyone will have the same disabilities you face, but you will find a lot of understanding from those of us dealing with chronic pain for example. Hope some of this helps.0

Hi ya @Queenofdisabilities glad to see you back, if you look under quick links towards bottom of the page, my bookmarks/my discussions, you can find your posts there.0

Morning all heavy rain all day here, ive got plenty of coffee if you want 1.0
-
Already had two coffees this morning It's really cold for the middle of May, isn't it?0
-
@Ross_Scope morning, I'm only on my 1st one but I use a Costa mug that keeps liquid hot for ages, so I can go off do things and its still, hot enough to drink.
May is a bit disappointing this year, we can't put new flowers plants in because still having frosts, hopefully get better soon. And old saying never cast a clout till May is out.
A clout is an old word for a piece of clothing. ... In other words, the old saying means don't take your warm clothes off until the May blossom is out because cold weather can return during the spring months which is what is happening at the moment.

@Sandy_123 Are you still worrying today or is the thing over with now? I hope it wasn't too stressful.

Hi @66Mustang morning to you, I'm a bit better today, I had some1 laying a bed room floor and my next door aggressively screamed through the wall stop the f banging, so was worrying how to approach it. I still haven't approached it yet.0
-
Oh how unpleasant!
Personally I think ignoring aggressive people is the best way, then maybe explain what was going on when they calmed down a bit? Are you on speaking terms with this person or not really? If not I'd maybe just leave it but perhaps others will have better advice.0 -
I'll probly mention it when I bump into him as he could of knocked the door.0
