Yes thank you, just had a bad day I reckon we all have them lol, just read your comment about fish and chips and I can say it’s one of my favourite meals ever.0

@Sandy_123 what sort of cake do you want to make?0
-
Just a simple sponge with lemon0
-
@Sandy_123
Here goes
6oz of butter
6oz sugar
6oz self raising flour
3 eggs beaten
Juice and rind of lemon
Mix sugar and butter together till soft and light in colour
Add 1 beaten egg at a time with 1 tablespoon flour and mix
Repeat with other 2 eggs and spoons flour
Mix in lemon juice and grated zest
Add remaining flour mix and put into greased lined cake tin or tins
Bake in pre heated oven at 180 for about 25 mins
Leave to cool a bit in tin
You can the make a lemon syrup put some water and sugar in pan and melt sugar then add lemon juice to your taste
Put some small holes in cake top and pour over syrup
Or make a lemon butter icing with butter icing sugar and lemon juice
Happy baking0 -
