Hey Jen , sorry about the delay in responding , I took a knock out tablet and hence why I'm up now at an ungodly hour! :) so firstly I should thank you and other people as its really nice and kind that people are showing some empathy and understanding and most importantly STRENGTH , secondly I appreciate the questions , so I have been told by the councillor of the group that has put me on suicide watch to avoid any social media activity or watching the news for at least a week , which even in this short space of time has actually been great , I had some nasty stuff said to me a few days ago on FB ... the inhumanity in some people is disgusting, as it stands I'm currently seeing a clinical nurse at my hiv clinic and in two weeks time I'm seeing my hiv specialist and in going to see if she will write a supporting letter for me, mind you , it looks like medical letters aren't going to be worth the paper they are written on , I'm in a queue to see someone from a male rape supporting group called Survivors UK, they have been excellent in helping me and I'm seeing this group now that helps men going through suicidal tendencies, I've got my partner , my dad and a few friend who help me out , I'd honestly be lost without them, the group that I'm seeing now gave me a brilliant app to refer to , it also has a button I can press where if the urge to end it I press , they get me help (so close to pressing it yesterday -on a few occasions) abd it also has breathing techniques which are surprisingly helpful -as for TV my concentration is shot to pieces but I do love a podcast there are some brilliant ones out there

Jen, you are so kind and thank you for taking an interest in me xxx

    Exactly, this should be discussed.

Anyone with ESA contribution based, if that proposal goes ahead, will lose their entitlement eventually. As well as any NI contributions for their future pension.

this is clearly discrimination done in a very devious subtle way.

So if you are on ESA contributions based I would reply to their green paper pointing that out.

I have always urged people with disabilities severe enough to impact their mobility and daily life to apply for PIP at the time of need. Disability is expensive.

This change would impoverish me and others with no UC entitlement yet it gets not attention in the media or responses from the Mods on this forum.

Hi Sparrow , from what I've seen and lovely people on here have said that this is a green paper, so as it stands, it's a paper with ideas on it and it is absolutely negotiable because there will be changes , tweaks and given the public and MPs anger and outrage I think or at least hope that there will be changes, there has to be as this has been so badly thought out and instantly its discriminatory against mentally ill people , this has broken me and I'm on suicide watch, I know it's scary but let's hold onto hope :)

Hi Evlyn , I wouldn't trust a thing Timms says , I messaged him a few weeks ago asking why these (at the time) proposed cuts are fair or right, I told him my plight and sent a pic of my wrists (I self harm) his response? ... you don't live in this constituency so I can't help, keeping in mind he's the minister of the disabled AND a self professed man of god !

    Disgraceful

Had another horrible night laying awake thinking about the future, I have lived in my rented home for 24 years, full of memories but I will lose it soon. No chance to afford the rent, I feel so low, I don’t want to be like this, I hate feeling like this.

    @Jenwren

Thank you for all that info. It brings a lot of hope.

I'm hoping today will be a better day and I can focus on getting the questions answered on the green paper too and also writing to our MP. He has a disabled son and his wife has MS so hopefully some support there (but you never know which way they will turn!)

I'm so glad I found this forum. I'm housebound and very isolated so worry can go off the scale. Seeing people's hope and positivity is a boost. 🙂

People were saying about kendell doing her speech how demented she looked and she enjoyed punishing us.

Is there anyone challenging the decision. Especially 4 points . The thing is she's saying about getting us into work, dosent the evil woman realise that people do work get it, and by taking it away would make it difficult to carry on

That's the thing, my husband does actually work and has done for years but can only manage part time but in general struggles mentally/physically and I do a lot to help. Thing is I have health problems too and could technically apply for PIP but I'd probably get denied so not worth the stress.

I'm really stressing DWP may try and amend his award since the tribunal win since the max he got in one category was 3 points (waiting for backpay) but I heard it doesn't come in until Nov 2026 so surely they can't do that? He's awaiting backpay from 2022.

Just a thought here, not sure if it's been mentioned, people get mobility on pip for various reasons right? So if you need that why stop the help with daily needs element? Or make it harder? So many need one because of the other. For example, heart conditions can mean some have fatigue and chest pain, breathlessness etc and need help to dress ,wash etc at the same time they need mobility component for those same reasons... can't get around due to fatigue and pain ,breathing trouble.

Sorry if I'm not explaining that correctly. I've had terrible asthma attacks all week and other symptoms feel drained of lifeforce.

    Hi Jen,

I’m not sure if you’ve seen the new Ellen Clifford video on YouTube but she talks about a plan of action including legal action. I read this morning that think tanks have said rather than £5b savings it’ll be closer to £100m . And reeves will be coming for taxes again in spring. Both her and Starmer need to go asap imo

Please remember there are ppl who are already organising themselves in the fight back to this . This is just a green paper and we do have rights . Watch Ellen Clifford on YouTube her latest video states a plan of action including legal advice she is taking. Someone posted the link on here or you can find it in YouTube Ben claimant.

    Hi ,

I listened to Angela Rayner on bbc radio giving an interview regarding helping the disabled. Using her mum and son’s health conditions to drum up support. Insisting they want to help us and protect those that can’t work lead a dignified life and good standard of living. And where was she when demented Kendall told of all the cuts ? Sitting behind her nodding her head. I even read she voiced concerns about the cuts along with the others who did. Obviously she’s not ready to give up the gravy train. But was else can we expect from someone who buys her council house for profit only to want to ban others from buying theirs. None of the front bench have scruples or morals , that’s why Starmer chose them .

My name is Luke I am diagnosed with autism and one aspect of my condition is the fact that I ruminate and worry I used to receive a lifetime/indefinite DLA award when migration to PIP took place I was initially awarded zero points and had to attend a tribunal which awarded me daily living enhanced rate and mobility standard rate for an ongoing period the award letter said it was not appropriate to set a fixed term in this case as my condition is unlikely to change. The Green Paper does mention that ongoing awards are not going to be abolished but I am still anxious as I have read posts on here suggesting that when the new descriptors come in there is a possibility that they will want to reassess everyone including ongoing awards can anyone let me know what you think will happen just to put my mind at rest I do have 4 points btw on social communication but do you think it will be a violation of the Equality Act to remove the daily living component from me if they said my condition is not likely to change in the award letter? Just asking if anyone has an idea of what will happen with ongoing awards as there does not seem to be much info online or in the press about this I did feel better after reading the green paper yesterday mentioning that ongoing awards are to continue but recently I have been stressed again as I read a post on here last night suggesting that everyone will be reassessed like in the DLA to PIP migration anyway I have demanded a face to face meeting with my MP which I am expecting to get shortly and will put that question to her.
