Cut the bloody immigrant expenses why target ill&disabled😡😡they should be ashamed

When will the Government release the impact assessment on all of this?

A Lib Dem MP (I think it was Lib Dems) asked a series of great questions and addressing disability benefits and the cuts and the concerns around them. Reeves barely even touched on it. Why is there a sudden need for all of this defence spending? The way that she keeps mentioning the "economic boost" how about the people in this country? Focus on people FOR ONCE rather than figures. My past Maths teachers cared less about numbers/figures than these lot.

My MP said it should be this week. I'd say next week instead seeing as it's Wednesday but I'm unsure. Just reiterating what my MP emailed me

Any news on the new style ESA/CB support group?

Hi ladytinks will this 'cut' only apply to new claimants ?

So is lcwra esa or UC and pip wasn't mentioned so still Nov next year. Sorry its all gone over my anxious head 🙏

Yes I think they've timetabled it like this because they've got to get these changes passed by both parliaments and into law. Scope estimated at least one year before these "reforms" become law, and it seems like the government have given themselves several months longer than that.

I noticed that too and there were more questions asked about the pip cuts and an explanation, but she proceeds to answer the question with something completely irrelevant.
very worrying as they obviously don’t have the answers because they are indefensible proposals that can not be defended, and it’s looking very likely they just going to go ahead with them anyway.1 -
from the benefit and work site, quoting the obr report. Coming for the substantial risk category will kill people. I’m trying really hard not to melt down right now
3 -
the cut to lcwra will be bad, I get that as well as carers part, if I don’t get the 4 pts on pip, lose it all!
Either half, or none!
They will push people to work who can’t, I’m in 60s, been on pip 6 years, only last 3 I’ve not been able to, feel like I’m gonna get punished for working most of my life, then can’t due to health

Reeves - show your real face …

But But… Keir Starmer had a disabled mother and brother.
The guy is feckless there's no other word. "working people" "hard working people"
so OAPs disabled and other groups are clearly not wanted, 5 years goes quick
Labour will NEVER get another vote from us here. They can change leader and drop everything I am done already joined Plaid Cymru.

Glad that others noticed too, there's been a lot going on this afternoon with this statement. The amount of things I've missed on it that I only know because of here! As you say, they SERIOUSLY do not have the answers because it's indefensible. I've emailed my MP again. Felt bad because I'm very angry and she's in support of us but I wasn't rude at all, just direct and apologised for my anger at the end of the email.
I'm still listening to the questions and Reeves is STILL saying "economic boost, get people into work". There's no acknowledgement on their part that cutting PIP will do NOTHING for that because PIP isn't an out-of-work benefit. If these proposed changes somehow get through, I will be mindblown to say the least considering it potentially violates the Equality Act and the Human Rights Act.

I'm in the substantial risk category myself and I'm the same, really trying hard to just keep myself together but I don't think I can

It is very very concerning that any question that is put forward to Rachel Reeves about Disability cuts and PiP changes.
She not only avoids answering the questions properly she answers with the same nonsense about young people.
The reason she answers these questions with irrelevant answers is because the proposals to the changes in pip are indefensible and they don’t have the answers because there aren’t none.
Sadly I believe they are fully going to go ahead with this no matter how much people make noise about it.I have never in my life been so sickened by a Government or its members.
Edit: she now got asked about it again and this time answered with something about housing smh this shouldn’t be allowed, how can you answer questions with nonsense answers that have nothing to do with the question asked. Shocking!3 -
I fully hope they do not see the light of day but they are 100% not gonna back down or u turn unless told so by a judge thst it is illegal to do

Thanks for letting me know. It's going to be an interesting read.👀

many are worried and rightly so but please remember nothing is set in stone yet, and there will be push back and if when time comes it does happen you will have an option of going to a tribunal of some sort and try to appeal it.

Labour will never get in in Scotland again IMO. They’ll lose many seats at the next Scottish Parliament elections and be replaced by SNP and Greens.
