I'm in the substantial risk category myself and I'm the same, really trying hard to just keep myself together but I don't think I can

It is very very concerning that any question that is put forward to Rachel Reeves about Disability cuts and PiP changes.
She not only avoids answering the questions properly she answers with the same nonsense about young people.
The reason she answers these questions with irrelevant answers is because the proposals to the changes in pip are indefensible and they don’t have the answers because there aren’t none.
Sadly I believe they are fully going to go ahead with this no matter how much people make noise about it.I have never in my life been so sickened by a Government or its members.
Edit: she now got asked about it again and this time answered with something about housing smh this shouldn’t be allowed, how can you answer questions with nonsense answers that have nothing to do with the question asked. Shocking!3 -
I fully hope they do not see the light of day but they are 100% not gonna back down or u turn unless told so by a judge thst it is illegal to do

many are worried and rightly so but please remember nothing is set in stone yet, and there will be push back and if when time comes it does happen you will have an option of going to a tribunal of some sort and try to appeal it.

Labour will never get in in Scotland again IMO. They’ll lose many seats at the next Scottish Parliament elections and be replaced by SNP and Greens.

I’m not a huge fan of the Greens myself as I feel they want unrelatistic policies which would affect the entire economy without things in place instead.
If the SNP do take over UC/ESA benefits that would be great.

I agree, unfortunately they are not going to back down one bit. They are determined and being pig headed to get this through no matter what ( for the good of the working tax payers haha ) They will intentionally avoid any discussions around this simply because they want working folk out there to agree with anything that cuts benefits. They definitely and desperately want to curie favour. Unless this is overturned via the judicial system it will happen, I can see it coming.

Yes, you are protected until 2029/2030 before any changes will take place as an existing recipient of LCWRA.

Labour clearly don't care what they're doing, 800,000 will lose their PIP entitlement and then below, how is any of this legal?
So, it looks like reassessments are going to be particularly targeted on pregnancy, cancer and substantial risk.

There will be MP's fighting against the changes, but I don't think the numbers exist to defeat the government. House of Lords is like to present much tougher opposition for the government. These changes cannot become law without both houses giving its approval of the final bill.

These changes being challenged in court is basically an absolute certainty.

So sorry you went through that and now having this illness. When anyone challenges her, kendell or starmer they keep trying to justify 16 to 24 year old. But not addressing the inhuman cuts to those with disabilities. I hope there is a rebellion in the party and they back down. Notice she never mentioned about not stopping the 19 billion to the chagos island. If its about slavery that happened hundreds of years ago. Then milliband should look at the solar panels made in China which the Muslims are slaves and treated terribly but I.read he wants the clause taken put that not profiteering from slavery so the eco nut can do his projects

Another thing is how Labour keep saying that PIP in an unemployment benefit, they are doing that on purpose because they know PIP isn't an unemployment benefit.
This government is a charade of lying connivers.
