I think the plans for cuts and the reaction of disabled people should be written about in Wikipedia.

The red wall is usually referring to an area of the UK that has historically been held by Labour:

Hi
I see that some get a pip reassessment form to fill in yet today I got a text saying my reassessment will be by telephone by maximus who do it for the DWP.
Does anyone know why this is please..

The thing to bare in mind is if or when Labour votes through the cuts there still can be legal action taken again aspects of the legislation which presumably will be 2 bills, a money bill and legislation to change the eligibility of PIP.
Then if Starmer continues to tank a replacement could reverse the legislation.

Hi you will need to ring and ask them.
I have just completed my pip reassessment form and I will posting it tomorrow.
They gave me less than 3 weeks to complete it and send it back.
I didn't request an extention because I am going away on a little break next week and I just want it out of the way.
What baffled me is why they sent me the form so early because my award is until September 2026.

Hi @luvpink thanks I will but hate doing it they aren't nice to deal with.
Same as you I got a form to fill in last year, probably April or may whereas my reassessment not due till this year.Filled it in and sent it back and heard nothing until a week ago. I thought that was that but apparently it's massive backlogs, probably same with you. Pleased you did it and sent it off it is a stress.

Thank you so much - from one Lou to another! 😀
I'm going to amend the letter I sent to the MP and send it off to DWP - I think I remember they give an address so I'll send it there.
Those questions are appalling and I think are based on the assumption that the reforms are accepted.
I'm not one to be dramatic (I'm too practical!) but I seriously wonder if they are doing this as some sort of "cull". It certainly sounds like it.
Speaking from my own situation, I will be 64 years at my next review, with three years to retirement. No one is going to employ someone of that age with increasing decrepitness (I have to be honest, that's how it's going!) yet I don't score four points on any descriptors for daily living. I would lose a significant part of my financial help and would not have enough to live on. Where would we go for help? I am now living on the basis that I will not be here in three years' time - perhaps this is what they want? I worked full-time for forty years and this is not how I expected things to end.
Anyway, thank you for getting back and I will certainly do that letter x4 -
mines up next Feb and I haven’t had a firm yet
