Exactly this ! He’s trying to make out it’s softening the blow after WFA and possible two child limit u turns . But this isn’t a u turn at all , was planned at the start and now using it to look good to the rebels. I did watch dynamic duo and Rich said he thinks it’s they’ll continue to pay pip while we go to appeal . If that’s true they might as well just leave pip alone as I only 2-3 years anyway so once the system is overloaded with hundreds of thousands of appeals it’ll take that long .

I'm confused by the possible change to the 2 child rule. Part of the reason for it, was to stop the trend of young girls having baby after baby and living on benefits. By scrapping the 2 child limit surely that will just result in the same again? So, how will that reduce the welfare spend?

"So, how will that reduce the welfare spend?"
No one has said scrapping the two child limit would reduce anything other than pressure from Labour MPs.

They weren’t interested in scrapping it until the fight back from the disability cuts imo . I think it’s a bribe to rebel mps . But they’re forgetting this will actually cost money yet scrapping the plans to disability cuts won’t cost anything extra .

By the way, I don't hear Fightback4Justice anymore, even though they gave us hope soon after the damn Green Paper was published!

I’ve never heard of them . I’m starting to feel that emailing is just helping other groups ( and I do think WFA should be reinstated) and disabled still being ignored. I haven’t done anything compared to others but fed up of feeling like a second class citizen.

No keep emailing it is helping but they won't break ranks in front of us you do alot for this community I have really felt it last couple of days but honestly keep emailing he hasn't made concrete plans amd with winter fuel he said depending on funds so comes budget no funds we have 100 to 150 mps against letter to echr signed by 60 charities go on thier website dpac covered everything in letter and disabled actress actors written to starmer stating drop these horrendous cuts thier getting it from every angle I changed my emails to they are not softening anything all they will do is hold back and then reinstate to the same plans stated what do they think we will get jobs ??? Or just disappear in that time he really deserves name flip flop but my god it plays with mental health big time

The reason so many so called people are claiming PIP is due to an aging population and waiting lists for mental health and physical conditions and operations. They need to stop making out PIP is an out of work benefit and stop saying work makes things better etc. The majority of people claiming PIP are either in work (or want to work) but employers won't take them on.
If there are loads of jobs out there, which Kendall keeps chirping on about, then why are the able bodied and non mentally ill folk being made to do them first?? It really does twist my melon all this false rhetoric and propaganda.

I just emailed Jeremy again and mentioned a descriptor for fatigue and TP for us losing pip until we get another benefit isn’t going to work as there isn’t another benefit. I’ve also messaged demented Kendall again and Starmer saying same but I added that I know they don’t care about disabled but after waiting 14 years they’ll never get back in as they’re losing all the disabled votes .

Have you noticed how the job seekers on uc basic aren’t being mentioned and encouraged to find work but are being given extra ( I do think extra is needed) , again it’s everyone but us . Why aren’t the able bodied able to find a job if it’s so easy for us

I also wrote all my conditions and symptoms and said over exertion for an ME sufferer is dangerous yet I don’t get a 4 point descriptor at present so I’ll be no longer classed as disabled and not fit enough to work.

I have poem about LIz, it's not offensive or rude Scope!! Iv'e also emailed it to Liz Kendall, hopes she likes it (probably not).
"The Ballad of Lizzie ‘Cut-It’ Kendall"
There once was a minister, sharp as a pin,
With a scowl on her brow and a budget to thin.
She frowned at the claimants from Parliament's bench,
With a red pen of doom and a policy wrench.“Oh dear,” sighed Lizzie, “the numbers are dire!
Let’s light up the spreadsheets and set them on fire!
Too many are resting, not pulling their weight—
We must get them working, and quickly—by eight!”She spoke of “resilience,” “independence,” “drive,”
While folks just asked, “Can I please stay alive?”
She painted a picture: the fraudsters, the fake—
Ignoring the nuance for soundbites to make.A lad with long COVID? “Get back on your feet!”
A mum with anxiety? “You’re fit for the street!”
A man hearing voices? “He’ll manage just fine—
A job at the call centre? Let’s put him in line.”But Lizzie, dear Lizzie, we see through the fluff,
Your welfare reform is just ever so rough.
With graphs in one hand and compassion misplaced,
You've turned public services into a race. They called her the "Pathway to Work" pioneer—
But forgot that some paths just aren’t very clear.
For not all who wander are lazy or sly,
Some just need help, not a bureaucrat’s eye.So here's to Liz Kendall, in suit and in heel,
With policies sharper than most people feel.
But maybe, just maybe, a kinder refrain
Would soften the budget—and ease a lot of pain.5
