The whole idea that this welfare vote is also a confidence vote in Sir Kid Starver is hilarious, considering that most people in this country hate him and his government.
they'd also hate Morgan McSweeney (his chief of staff, who allegedly is actually pullin the strings) if they knew who he is.
almost nobody has confidence in Starver. If these cuts go through, his downfall is still inevitable. Most likely to Nigel Farage, because the British left is equally **** at political strategy.

I just thought I heard on the news that the Tories are deciding their stance on it this afternoon but don't know if they're announcing it today 🤔

More than 120 Labour MPs have signed up to an effort to block plans to cut disability and sickness-related benefits

I wonder if the Conservatives will side with the PM or Labour rebels. This is a key. Fingers crossed it goes our way.

I expect all 120 are so busy (hopefully) chivvying along the rest trying to persuade them to sign the Amendment. Maybe they're coming up with alternative type reforms that are fairer, have some humanity at its' heart and with proper and full consultations to persuade their fellow MPs.

well on bbc article it says directly to starmer his repsonse.
Asked if he would be happy to rely on Conservative votes to push the reforms through Parliament, he said: "I have no idea what the Conservatives will do. I don't think they've got the first idea what they're doing."

I think I read that they called them cruel . But whatever they think of us this could be better for the Tory’s if it undermines Starmer .

Hi Charlie,
I just emailed kemi again . We really need them on our side . I can’t think of how voting for cuts benefits the Tory’s . Why would they want to save Starmer ?

I'm trying to manage my expectations. Fingers crossed the Conservatives vote along with the Labour MP's who are rebelling. What happens if the vote doesn't go our way?
