I read that they are going to disregard cooking and washing element in pip now, is that true ?

Furthermore I don't think Timms is the right mp to do this, as he is for cuts. A new disability mp should be brought in, and dwp mp, get rid of kendell.

Hi MW, I agree. Downgrading to zero is very worrying and I feel we will hear many many stories like this when the ''changes'' are made and they will be made. The whole situation is crazy, we are still as baffled as we were in March. Still no solid evidence anywhere that any concessions are permanent and personally I don't believe they will ever be. Goodness knows what any disability benefit will look like come 2026 onwards, dread to think.

Are current LCWRA claimants going to be reassessed with a £49 a week pay cut, if so when

Is their LCWRA going to be frozen until it reaches the same as new claimants only getting £50, a two tier system. When are the current ones going to be reassessed, is that paused until 2028?

Are new LCRWA claimants going to have to qualify under PIP now

LCWRA are the poorest due to savings cap, some will have no savings, so why target them, many disabled living alone cannot meet the descriptors under PIP, as they have no one to help them and can't afford to pay someone to help them out of the bath etc.

As for people on PIP I don't trust Tims and they voted through a bill with all the bad stuff in, concessions where assurances only. Keep a close eye on this, as they are sneaky and lack morals.

More bills to come for the youngsters, totally shameful for Labour, my local MP's voted for all of this and need to be voted out asap.

I saw that too . If they do this what’s left ? They’re the main descriptors

I take it all the ESA/LCRWA changes have all passed now and will come in to fruition as stated in the Green Paper, with not a single word mumbled or a second thought to challenge it.
It’s all about PIP/UC and nothing else. I raised it specifically with my MP, she didn’t even bother to reply. I guess I’ll be homeless soon.

Hey @Catherine21 I'm afraid I've had to remove those two screenshots, as they contained your personal email. I hope you understand. ☺️

    https://www.disabilitynewsservice.com/reform-silence-after-farage-suggests-again-that-he-favours-sweeping-cuts-to-disability-benefits/

Farage wants to "force 1 million plus back to work”, and that it would “ensure those who can work do work”.

Sounds like chain gangs are returning ……
