OK, it was only requests, not a demand.
Is SCOPE collecting any monies on Albus's behalf through any bank account, because someone on this forum said there was or we should do a collection for him?
Respect, and support.

Hi all,
Thank you for all the lovely words and messages you've shared.
Weβve received a few questions about donations and other details following Albusβ passing. As @Mary_Scope mentioned, we wonβt be sharing photos (our avatars are fairly close representations) or any additional personal information, out of respect for privacy.
For those who wish to make a donation, Albus had a deep love for animals and for caring for them. His family are collecting donations for the RSPCA in his memory, to help continue that passion.
A service for Albus is being held tomorrow. For anyone wanting to take a moment of private reflection, that might be a fitting time to do so. Albus loved Halloween and was especially talented with SFX (special effects) makeup, so I imagine the service will be filled with the creativity, colour, and music that reflect all the things he loved most.

Theres no problem re refusing to post Albus's photo
as fraudsters avatars could use it to con people - what evil-unskillful people they are.
Shocking
And so folks, please update yourselves on antifraud measures, any advice given c/o SCOPE, you bank, by the police etc.,
and so protect your hearts.
Self compassion is very vey important, is not selfish.

I only know Albus from the Scope boards, but he made such a big impact and was a big presence to anyone he spoke to.
I remember him setting up posts about certain World Animal Days where we could post our cat photos. Or I would see him giving advice about where to go when having benefit problems, or comfort someone who was upset, because the government was having one of their fits again.
Yes β¦. to me, he was a voice/text on a screen β¦. but he was a very important, compassionate, loving voice, and the person behind it as well, of course.
Not to mention (sorry, with my Dyspraxic mind comes an intense introvert nerdy thinking): he carries the first name of the greatest wizard of all time (Albus Dumbledore).
He is safe and whole again in the afterlife, but he is extremely missed here on Earth.

Thank you again for everyoneβs kind words. There was a beautiful service for him today, and I think his sister and all of his loved ones did him proud.
He was and is much loved, more than he perhaps ever knew, and he will not be forgotten.7 -
I've just returned after requesting to have my account closed back in April and I just wanted to say Seeing this is dreadful. I got on extremely well with Albus and he understood me well, we interacted regularly during my previous time on the forum and I thought a lot of him. It's been an awful year and Ironically I returned as I missed a few people and wanted to see them again so to speak and Albus was one of those I was looking forward to catching up with.
thoughts are with his family and closest associates, I apologise for bringing this sad thread back to the front of the forum but I couldn't allow the chance to say goodbye and show my respect go by.

Dear Nightcity,
There is no need to say sorry.
Albus was a special, very kind man.
I hope for those who may be thinking or felling cynical, Albus reminds us there is such a thing as great compassion.

I had noted Albus has not been on the PIP subforum for a while and only found out today of his passing. I am shocked. I have not been here long but knew Albus from trying to help members with PIP issues within the PIP subforum. Albus was always on the PIP subforum helping members with PIP issues too. He will be sadly missed and was a genuinely nice person, that was easily noticeable in his help he gave. Very sad news.

very tragic news π Albus was a huge part of this forum. He was compassionate, kind hearted, genuine and thoughtful. He will be missed by many people, he was very supportive and gave information that was helpful and relevant. β€οΈ

Welcome back Nightcity!
Our forum is not the same without Albus and I'm still incredibly sad, especially on a Friday. It is fitting to remember him on World Mental Health Day. He was 10/10.
As a recently-diagnosed autistic adult, Albus explained what many of us had experienced in later life and validated the similarities. A midwife, aquarium expert, DJ stand out for me of his many occupations. Albus challenged misogyny, the greatest injustice of all π
I'm more than glad that Scope has preserved his account with all the wisdom, encouragement, hope and humour he offered us. I loved his random National Day threads and wonder if they might make an appearance on the relevant days, Scope?

I feel very sad that, because of internet fraudstars, Albus's photograph could not be put on this forum, as they might make an avatar and account and use it to steal.
Someone's face tells us a lot about their character, and Albus was kind, it would show up individually, in his photograph.
And of course I respect is family's wishes not to show his photograph thus.
It is a sad world we live in sometimes.
