I've not been on for a while (ill) but seen that you're in hospital @rubin16. I am so sorry but pleased the Crohn's is not active. Good luck today with the Consultant - I'm very glad you've been able to at least have fluids; most pleased that you're being kept updated and informed properly as you should be. And glad the 'dreaded' camera procedures are done now.
If you end up needing surgery, have you considered the nicotine inhalatior? (Little white thing /nothing to exhale though like a vape but at least you get nicotine).
Thinking of you and wishing you well and all the very best ❤️.

Thankyou for your kind message. I'll might see what what options they have but kinda abit anxious this morning anticipating what the next plan is.
I'll keep you all updated.

@rubin16 Your situation is troubling. If you can't cope with Fortisips asks about other products of this nature.
Also, could you manage a thin, fortified yoghurt or fortified ice-cream?
Drink as much as you're able. Even plain water will keep your body going for when they try something that helps.
Blessings, Zipz
PS. I don't know where you are but if things remain unsatisfactory ask/insist on transfer to a cerebral of excellence in the field of most concern.

Did you never smoke real cigarettes then, rubin? I have never tried vaping.

To be quite honest with you I never even touched a cig until I was 28. It started becuase I was in agony once in hospital and nothing was helping, and a family friend wheeled me out briefly and gave me some **oregano mixed with tobacco which made me forget the pain for hours. Since then I used to smoke it ocassionally, but having it mixed with tobacco became me craving just something to smoke, which became cigs now and then to eventually stopping and just having a vape instead.

Gotta watch out for the old oregano! Lol.

Thanks Zipz,
Things actual happened for once yesterday, so fingers crossed something gets done soon. The consultants should be around soon so hopefully I get a better idea.

I remember i once gave a man in his mid 80s ( This is 30 years ago) a smoke of my bong. He was delighted with the result!
That old gentleman will sadly be long gone, but he and I ( alongside several score others), we walked possibly 300 miles over hill and glen, whilst wearing period costume ( Mid 18th century Scotland).

I went to Scotland for the first time last year with my nan, I'd always wanted to go considering i'm half scottish from my mums side. Absolutely beautiful country and round every corner was a breathtaking view and stunning scenery. Your lucky to live there.

Thanks, rubin, but as with any country, it depends where you live! There are blighted estates aplenty that will never know the beauty surrounding them.

I just saw the consultant, I don't know what to think. He's said the same what my camera report said but said theres no fix for it apart from painkillers. I don't know what that means, will I never be able to eat or walk again, cause if thats the case I might as well end things.

I'm crying my eyes out, I had a meltdown and basically dragged myself off the ward and outside before collapsing in pain and staff had to bring me back in a wheelchair.

@rubin16 I'm so sorry. I can't imagine what an awful time you're having at the moment. Are you feeling any better now?
0 -
Not really, I asked for some anti-sickness at 11:20am so I could try some soup again, Soup came at 11:45am, still no anti-sickness, after buzzing 3 times, nurse finally comes at 12:50 with anti-sickness after letting it get in my system for 10mins, I take some sips of freezing cold soup after only taking like 4 small spoons of cold soup, I started feeling really ill again and just spent the past hour being sick.
They still haven't got me a dietician either.

I can't believe they left you waiting for so long and you had to have cold soup! Did you tell them it was cold because you'd waited so long?

Really do hope they get you better soon @rubin16
