I had a dog many years ago @Chris75_ and ok it wasnt a pedigree but i did all the work in keeping her well trained

I appreciate they are strong dogs highly intelligent

Its a task i would be happy to set myself

It would give me something to focus on .

When i got my dog back in the day

I got her bakers but ive seen a lot of dog foods advertised which look loads better than bakers .

Ive heard so many good stories about staffies but unfortunately my dog was attacked by one and my dog was rushed to the emergancy vet

I know not all staffies are the same but unfortunately its not the kind of dog i would like

Dobermans or Rotties are a favourite of mine too

I will keep in mind the info about the food though .

Cheers for giving me the info though its gratefully appreciated .

I wont be getting a dog yet

Id rather wait for better weather easier to house train then .

At the moment its a dream

But they say dreams come true @Chris75_ so watch this space

    Thanks again

And wishing you many happy days with Gus

    Best wishes always

Sorry to hear about the dog attack, my previous Staffy got attacked and badly injured in 2014, it was quite a job to get other dog to stop. A bucket of cold water worked in the end.

The thing with bull breeds, is that every cross with a muscular build gets named in the press as 'Staffy like'. This one that attacked Dino was a mean looking thing, maybe a cross between a mastiff and a staffy?

The man with the dog was powerless to stop the attack. Twice the lead was ripped out his hands, and it resumed the attack, even when i has picked my dog up ( couldn't do that now).

I ended up on the ground, doing all i could to stop any tearing as it hung on. The owner of the café came with a bucket of water in the end. I can still see him waving a greasy spatula, telling the man he was banned from his café. Both the other man and i were actually eating al fresco and chatting from separate tables.

I contacted my MP, but he was worse than useless. As were the dog wardens.

One day it will all make sense

    Why the doors closed

    Why they didnt stayv

    Why your plans fell apart

    Right before the breakthrough

It wasnt punishment it was protection

    It was rejection

    It was redirection

    Every delay

    Every detour was devine timing

    You didnt miss it

    Your not behind it

Your being guided step by step

To where your always meant to be

    So keep walking

    Keep trusting

    The path was never random

    It was written

Im not sure what i think of this but i can bet we can all resonate with it

Scores of stitches, and i was in the local paper. I contacted them as the other guy denied responsibility, said poo wee Dino started it ( His large dog didn't have a scratch, and the man claimed Dino bit him, when in fact he tore a finger trying to get his dog to let go).

CCTV partial footage, i had 3 independent witnesses, it did no good. Dog wardens gave us both a warning letter, MP was totally useless. I should have seen my MSP, who is far more effective, can't remember why i didn't.

You really did have alot to deal with on that day

It is a very stressful situation to deal .

The dog owner who dog attacked mine said it was my dog too

I know for sure it wasnt my dog she wasnt like that

Someone let the dog out and it just went straight for mine over nothing @Chris75_

Cant believe you had a warning letter @Chris75_

Them yes but not you .

Sometimes it can feel like we are banging our heads against a brick wall .

Some of the stuff we have to deal with in life is horrendous and not always on our side @Chris75_

It keeps us from getting bored!

Off the topic slightly, but someone with a St Bernard, yes a St Bernard, they only walk their dog about 300 yards into my wee crescent. They have been observed by me and others goggling at their phone whilst dog huffs and puffs, leaving something unpleasant on the pavement. They don't pick it up, even if caught red handed.

The council can't do anything without video evidence, typical.

It is no joke to run a powerchair or scooter through such a pile. Especially when said vehicle has to be kept indoors!

i need to make a move, the storm seems to be dying down at last. I couldn't get Gus out last night. Getting sleepy and not looking forward to it, but it's never as bad as the thought of it!
