Hi I’ve got my tribunal date now and I can’t even say how scared I am about it. I have tried to look at what’s going to happen but nothing really tells me exactly what’s going to happen.

Hey @Moana good to see you again. 😊
Please try not to panic about the tribunal, I found them to be worlds apart from the assessments. The tribunal actually listened to me and were very caring and patient when I started having a panic attack. Just take your time and dont be afraid to ask for a break if you need one. You got this!0 -
Thank you so much for your reply. I am trying to be calm but it’s not working. I really struggle with new people and people asking me lots of questions. I really hope it goes ok. Thank you again.

Hi @Moana 😊 I just want to echo what Albus said. My tribunal was a breeze in comparison. I felt listened to and they were very patient. You've got this 😊

Hi,
I am currently waiting on my phone assessment for pip, I'm very nervous also and trying to get as much information on how it can go as possible. I have been reading through your journey and sorry it has been so stressful!
I wanted to see how it went? Did the tribunal happen? Have you been awarded pip? From everything I've read it definitely seems as though you should be awarded help for your struggles.
I hope you're doing well and please reach out if you need any further support.

Hi I understand completely how nervous you are about the PIP telephone call. All you can do is try to explain everything in as much detail as possible. Which I know is hard especially when you are nervous. The 1st telephone call the lady ended it as she thought it was unfair for it to go ahead. So the 2nd call I had my coach on the call with me which was a little easier knowing she was there. They still said No. Then I appealed and the answer was still No. Everyone told me to keep going so it went to Tribunal and then I was awarded PIP. The stress of it all was really hard to deal with and I did want to give up many times but I had people who kept telling me to keep going. I hope you also have people to support you through the process. Take care of yourself.

@Moana Really pleased for you to read you did get awarded your PIP. I’m sorry to read how stressful and time consuming it was and it takes a lot of courage to persist. The outcome is really pleasing and I’m just sorry it took so long and you were made to feel so anxious about it. I found it really frightening too and know that my 3 years are nearly up so I await with dread them contacting me to reassess me because I know they’ll try everything they can to deny it to me like they tried with you. But a happy outcome for you and hope this has really helped you to relax and ease the anxiety ☺️

Thank you so much. I wish you well for when you do get reassessed. I was very lucky and was awarded an ongoing award so I don’t need to worry about it for a while. Good luck with everything.
