Paranormal debate

Yes,I was a paranormal investigator for twenty five years, I've been through a few things, being touched on my head, felt like I was being rushed up on, I did a night at an old cinema and as I sat in the seat I was rocked back in it violently. I've stayed in 250 year old alleged hunted coast guard cottage alone, I've also had premonitions a few times.
I loved my paranormal nights, I never felt uncomfortable, afraid or worried, the living are far more scary.

The jury is out in this house. My brother told me if he died before me he would come back and haunt me! 25 years and I'm still waiting. He was a brilliant mechanic and my dad said he'd have his head under a cloud trying to make it go so no time for scaring little sister😂
Must admit though there has been a few strange things happen over the years that I couldn't explain and I'd like to think it's someone I know and love watching over me

Wow, I've got shivers again! That must have been so unsettling.

You had better alert Professor Brian Cox, as he said 'ghosts' can't exist, due to the second law of thermodynamics.
Can you reveal to us now the means by which 'ghosts' replenish the energy that they would lose to heat? They would after all be made of light, not matter.

Who you gonna call? 😀

That doesn't prove they don't exist, in the contrary in fact. Second law of thermodynamics state: Any energy transfer or transformation, some energy is wasted. Which is true and there's no arguing that.
However numerous paranormal investigations clearly show electrical or electronically powered devices suddenly losing or dropping in power, suggesting that these "Ghosts or Spirits" are infact replenishing their energy supply or gaining energy from these devices.
So while science can prove some things, some things it can't prove or not yet atleast. Our current understanding of science is limited and as it stands theres still things that can and can't be proven with simple science.
I'm afraid to say Professor Brain Cox is very wrong in his assumption.

I am out in the dead of night (countryside) with my dog, been doing it for 8 years, we go for miles in the pitch dark, with just my scooter light and head torch to see by.
If I ever meet a 'ghost' i'm willing to change my mind, but until then, they're just stories to frighten children.
Now I think about it, i've worked underneath the Tay rail bridge, where there must have been numerous suicides, murders; in fact you may have heard of the Tay Bridge disaster of 1879, where as many as 75 people were killed? Never saw a damned thing except the odd rat.

I lean towards being skeptical on this sort of thing, but I'm open to the idea of things changing my mind. It's definitely a really interesting subject anyway. Like others, I've had little premonition things about things that then go on to happen but that could just be coincidence. I'm never 100% sure!
I also find it interesting that a lot of the ghosts people experience seem to be older. You don't often get people talking about seeing ghosts dressed in 1970s Bell Bottoms or 1980s Shell Suits. Has anyone here experienced seeing any more modern ghosts?

And you have qualifications better than the professor,Rubin. You've got be having a laugh mate surely😂😂 They'd outshine you in three seconds.

I'm a believer
Too many strange things where I live, which is built on an old mansion , which then became an old peoples home. The 7 year old daughter died here in 1887
Ourselves and neighbours have witnessed sighting and happenings.
One example about 10 years ago, stood in a neighbours garden and I saw something through the kitchen window … I jumped back and the woman of the house said, did you see that ?
The husband didn't believe we'd seen anything, so we both wrote down what we saw … an old woman in scullery maid type of clothes. Apron, mob cap and flowing dress
Other things include a neighbour who's door opened … despite having to push it because of the carpet pile, some nights about midnight there's the smell of toasting bread … loads of phenomena … footsteps on the stairs is a bit disconcerting when you reach across in bed and your wife is there 😚
My cousin had to have his old house exorcised because of things happening. And nothing nice. It was a totally different vibe after
Sceptics gonna be sceptical and believers gonna believe … so I won't mention the childs hand print on the bathroom mirror …

Oof @WelshBlue, that's spooky! I have to say, even though I'm quite skeptical about it in general, I do get drawn in by hearing experiences like that where people have seen the same thing at the same time without talking to each other. I find it so fascinating.
Does anyone listen to the Danny Robbins Uncanny podcasts?

@Rosie_Scope … we don't find it spooky any more. And to be honest, ever since my daughter moved out, things happen less … almost like a troubled teen was a conduit. I don't miss the radio blaring by being turned on at 3 am at all 😁
Sometimes we believers I think, can look for things
An example when I was 18, out and about on a country lane and a headlight went out, right by a supposed haunted bridge
Messing around with the wiring, I could feel warm breath on my neck … ignore it, ignore it, you're a big boy …
Then something touched my neck.
Turned around … and sort of screamed when I was face to face with a horse
That night when I was sat on my backside, convinced me that horses actually laugh. Maybe not in the human way but he/ she seemed to be enjoying it too much 🤨

Can't come up with a valid argument or response back to me, Just because someone has qualifications doesn't mean they are supreme or know everything about everything, especially in a field what they're not specialised in.
How about you join in discussions without insulting people for once, or I have a crazy idea actually taking part in the discussion like everyone else.

"Ghost, Spirits and the Supernatural" have been well documented well over history for as far back as history goes. It is mentioned everywhere, and even seen countless times by millions of people round the world.
Do you really think everyone is making it up?
I'm not saying that ghosts are dead people exactly, however there is definitely a supernatural force that happens around the world on a daily occurrence. Whether these are "spirits" Some form of "Memory Relapse of past happenings" or "Interdimensional energies" we are still yet to figure out.
One thing for certain though is that our current science can't understand or conclude what it is yet or what is truly happening. But something supernatural is definitely happening around the world.

But the vast majority have never seen a 'ghost'. I don't believe in any gods, and certainly not in the so-called supernatural ( i still enjoy the stories). Why haven't I seen any of theses things, when I have been in so many dark and lonely places?
People can believe what they like, but i'm with Doubting Thomas on all this stuff.

You're the guy who claimed the Large Hadron Collider was altering space/time. Forgive me if I prefer to listen to Brian Cox.
