Hi @Santosha12 … I've been wondering how you're coping with this heat and humidity with your breathing. It's like a wall of heat sometimes and even taken my breath away

And the dogs … hope they're coping OK. We've had Ruudy for a few days, as my son's flat is like a furnace … victorian building with small windows. Poor thing isn't in the groomers until next week. He's tiring me out by all his panting

I hope the nutricalm is kicking in and Snicket is having some peace. And that he isn't having those moments of not knowing you, I can imagine that would be stressful for you both. It can't be easy seeing someone you love going through that, and them not understanding. Enjoy the cuddles and kisses. Ruudy is at his happiest when I'm on my knees, and he sits upright pushing himself right in so I can rub his chest … I must admit it makes me happy too. I don't think I've kissed anyone so much 😁

As for Vets … daylight robbery sometimes, but needs must other times. You sound like you know what the dogs need, because you know them so well … never read much about the Blue Cross but it's great there's organisations like that out there

It's been annoying this week seeing dogs walking on baking hot pavements. There's a lot of countryside around here and a huge park … no common sense some people. Or it's too inconvenient 😡

I didn't realise how long since you posted … sorry. Nope not my wrist, Scapoid … was more a slap injury when I caught the bath. Fingers crossed it heals and doesn't need pins or screws. My cast doesn't smell very pleasant … I think something has crawled in there and died 😋

It was fun making that table one handed, or going through the pain barrier if needed … thanks for the kind words, I'm happy with how it turned out … it's like me, photos don't do it justice 🤣

The 70's … a lot of UnPC times … but if I catch a comedy on TV from then … and may think, WOAH … I still laugh at the humour. It's like Alf Garnett … the show was mocking him, but people saw it as an attack on minorities. The Waltzers … those were the days. I think if I went on a ride these days, I'd have a nervous breakdown looking at all the pins and hydraulic rams that could break and kill me. Driving is a white knuckle ride these days 😉

Hi @Santosha12 … I didn't notice any bad grammar … and that's coming from a spelling nazi - who is getting more frustrated at not being able to spell so easily any more. Simplest words and I'm doubting myself. Body breaking down I can live with … the brain going, not so much

I'm crossing the fingers I've got left they've set it right … but I may turn blue holding my breath at the local hospital and their track records

My son had his put in a splint after fracturing his hand on a night out (less said the better) … he ended up going to an Orthapaedic hospital to have it rebroken and a plate inserted because of the shoddy job first time around

My 'pain' has eased, it's not even an ache any more … but that could be all the meds 😁I get silent migraines and they've put down having no pain to the cocktail of drugs I'm on … so I'll take a small win

Gawd it's been a week since you replied … seemed a lot longer without Broadband - i always said I could cope without it - nope. Reminded me of going cold turkey all those years ago

Little ToT was an angel. I've never known an 8 month old so happy. Definitely doesn't take after her parents. But it doesn't help we don't like her Mum 😋She's captured my heart, and since mum and dad aren't together I was wary of getting too attached … simply because the mother likes to use the lil' one as a weapon against my son. I'm too old and tired for complications like this, but got to make of it what we can

Hopefully next weeks predicted heat doesn't impact you as much as the last, and you can have some respite breathing wise. I hate to think what that was like for youse folk with breathing problems. I was late starting smoking - 24. Went 'away' a non smoker and came back a smoker and a walking A - Z of pharmaceuticals. Took years to give up them all, but the smoking was the hardest. Not as easy as people think. I only smoke a pod pen now, and need to cut down as it's always in my hand. Had some very close shaves reflexly picking up my hand with some hot or sharp instrument in it. Not vaping for Corrie ? I need Valium to watch it … drives my wife mad how worked up at it, I get 🤣Actually drives me a bit bonkers too … but the scriptwriters are shocking for checking facts

I've just realised that apart from a Welsh soap, Corrie is one of the few things we watch together. I prefer music and a book

I'm happy to read that Snicket is happy - he's honoured, not many people get hugs from me ☺️

It's horrible to think of an animal, let alone a loved pet going through something so life changing, but he's in great hands to make him comfortable. Could the small growls be from frustration ?

I'm ashamed to say I've got around a bit in my time, and I don't think there's been a better cuddle than I have with Ruudy, just the sighs of love and trust gets me every time. Although for a tough guy … he can be a Mary Anne. He cries if the vet tries to clip his paws … but is a model client for the groomer to do it 😏 My son had a mouse in his flat on Thursday so I went down to catch it. There was my son, 2 of his mates and a dog … the 3 men screamed and ran away, the dog barked, jumped on the sofa, sat upright, with a look that said … nope, not my job. It's quite a job catching a mouse when you can't see for laughing

You mentioned Christmas. Nooo. It's July. 😫 I put my hands over my ears and hum like a toddler if it's brought up at home before September. And definitely won't go up into the attic before the last week of November … no matter how many bad words are used to describe me

I've a few new songs in the offing, but no t'internet has played havoc with my creative side. Trying to shut up my muse has been very difficult 😁
