How is your day going?

problem is I don’t have any rope 🤨 which is frustrating to say the least. If they don’t come by 12pm tomorrow, then I will miss Spiderman again 🤬

Oh no you've been wanting to see that for a while! Let's keep our fingers crossed that they come today @Rag_793

At last I can breathe 🫁 Council have been out and got the door sorted. The heat is affecting not just the barrel in my door, workman has been to a fair few today. To say I used to be a professional gardener,I can’t stand this heat and don’t know how I used to work in it. Doubt I will sleep tonight with this heat, feels like hell has been opened up! Anyone doubting the climate issues, has now had a rude awakening.

I was out with Gus with only trackie bottoms, a t shirt and base layer fleece, it was very alarming to feel warmth on the wind down at the front, even after 20:30.

Good morning everyone. Bright and sunny here.
Enjoy your day whatever you do.
Take care.

Good morning everyone. Bit cooler today here in Yorkshire. Heatwave is almost done with thank god. Cooler temps over the weekend. Just chill out today and keep out of the heat I think. have a good day everyone and take care.

I see Count Binface got 27% of the vote in Clacton, on a turnout of 44%.
At least the parliamentary standards investigation can now resume! I wonder if Mr Farage will resign yet again? 🤔

Quiet start to the day, another restless night to say the least. Going to be a rest up day, looks like it will be another hot day - look after yourselves everyone 😊
Going to be busy over the weekend with cinema tomorrow alongside housework on Sunday and Monday. Going to have to take blinds down in the window and move things around in readiness for the decorators on Tuesday.
Must admit I am quite apprehensive about the Decorators, with my old bagpipes being shot. Going to make sure all windows are open and that my inhalers and panic button are within reach.

Afternoon everyone! Scorcher again here, it feels never ending at this point! But it's supposed to drop a bit tomorrow.
Glad you got your door sorted @Rag_793, that must have been a relief! Hope the decorators wont take too long and there aren't too many fumes.
Sorry to hear that @SheffieldMan1976, must be so frustrating.

I am happy my kitchen ceiling has been painted after my leak. I hasten to add I did not do it, I think my husband now needs a lie down.

Ceilings are tough to paint too! Think that man might need a well deserved cuppa @Bluebell21! Bet it's nice to have it all sorted and back to normal 😊

He has had two cuppa's and a sit down. He is now in the garden having a rest.
It is lovely to have it sorted and back to normal. I of course did all the tidying up, but fair play.

it will probably be a two to three day job, part of the stairs from tread to ceiling is 17 foot. They’re doing from the front door, up the stairs and my hallways. Including 7 door fronts as well, lots of gloss work to be done alongside emulsion work on walls and ceiling. They have to be careful not to disturb the ceiling, because if they puncture it then it opens a can of worms as it is Asbestos. Good old Artex on all ceilings in the flat.

Absolutely wonderful, been out in the lovely weather, been enjoying spending some time on here, and now I'm going to enjoy having a few beers while talking with a friend, life is good.

Very chilly and fresh start to the day, managed to escape the prison cell I live in to have the old bins adjusted and finally watch Spiderman. Feeling tired still, could have grumpily spent the morning in bed.

Been for a wander through Greenhead park this morning. Nice and cool. The Bowling Greens have turned Brown and the duck pond is getting low too. Need some rain soon or the ducks and geese won't have anywhere to frolic about.
