Sorry for the late reply @StarryEyed. Have you managed to go out on your walks or on the bus? My anxiety is just about being outside around people. I know it will get easier the more I do it but it's difficult to take that first step.

Hi Rachel. You're right that often by doing what we fear it typically becomes easier, as in exposure therapy. That's what I'm thinking of doing to get on the bus. No I haven't gone yet as my walker arrives today. Maybe we can start a thread about it. We could do exposure therapy together. Maybe others would like it too? What do you think?

I have already had two reasons reasons to smile today. Playing with Angel this morning was extra special as she was particularly playful. The second reason is the autumn countdown is complete. Happy autumn everyone. I'd say happy fall, but that comes across as a little off on a disability forum. ๐

Thank you @Mary_Scope. Her nose is one of her best features as it's so very pink, especially because the pink is contrasted naturally all around it with an outlining of black nose liner ๐
My favourite things in Canada were the changing colours of the leaves and having the ground covered in fallen leaves and seeing the leaves falling and piles of leaves that people had raked up. There's none of that where I live now. But, as in Canada, I love the cooler temperatures, and even more so here because it's disgustingly hot here in the summer. With the cooler temperatures I sleep better. With the cooler temperatures, I'm able to get out more not only because my body is more comfortable but because my mobility devices function better in cooler temperatures. (I typically use an e-bike and electric scooter to get around.). The cooler temperatures also mean more fresh air in my apartment since I can keep my windows open. Last but not least, cooler temperatures mean I can comfortably use my heating pads to treat my various body pains. So I'm a happy camper as it's cooling down. What do you like about autumn?

Autumn in Canada sounds beautiful @StarryEyed ๐. I bet the colours are so gorgeous. It's good to hear you're able to get out and about a bit more in the cool weather. Where have you ventured out too so far?
I'm with you on enjoying the cooler temperatures for pain management! I have a hot water bottle that I use when I'm in a flare up and it's much more manageable to use it when it's not a heatwave haha๐1
