Struggling mum

17yr old with AUDHD, anxiety, depression.. starting to be a nightmare to live with, he’s struggling mentally & emotionally and so am I, I’m walking on egg shells so I don’t upset him.
mum exhausted as been on my own with him for 15yrs.

    Seeking help is the best thing you're doing right now because autism is complicated for everyone. I would describe it as a battle with oneself and a battle with the world and it is exhausting.

    The National Autistic Society (NAS) offers support, information and advice (search for details).

    The Scope forum is a safe space to talk about autism and I hope you enjoy your time here.

    Thank you for telling us a little bit about your situation. Taking that step to reach out for help and support is huge and we're glad you're here. It sounds like you're both going through a lot at the moment.

    Does your son currently have any support in place at the moment? This could be CAMHS, in school or anything similar?

    Also, do you have any support for yourself right now? Whether that's family, friends or local carer services?
