Hi Everyone I’m Tom, I have a Shunt and Hydrocephalus and struggle with Short Term Memory issues where as my long term has not been affected from a Shunt Blockage in 2002, I currently Work at GOSH, Which looked after me as a Patient. On top of this I Volunteer my time with a couple of Charities which include Pride in London and Impulse London. I also run a disability group on Twitter and Facebook

Hi @Tommyb92 - Welcome to the community. How lovely to read you're now working at the hospital that looked after you, & you do voluntary work too, etc. I think we're lucky you joined us, & I look forward to your further input.
I've been to GOSH a few times; the last seeing a geneticist. Later had it confirmed that our family has the hypermobile type of Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome.

Tom, that's great, thank you. Pretty sure you'll be most welcome. Hope you get to do a lot, rather than just a bit!

I'd love to find out if there are any more people in the group who have a Shunt/Hydrocephalus - I was born with my condition and dont know that many people who have the same condition it would be great to hear their experiences - Tom Community Champion
