@Tractorgirlali, yes it was another good result for your team!
West Ham's result came as a surprise to me @WestHam06, Wolves are a really good side and they don't let in that many goals. I watched the highlights and some of the goals were great, Bowen looks like a wonderful player.
Bamford has been somewhat surprising but Leeds fans have always known he has it in him to score goals. He always has chances but in the past he would miss them, so far this season he has been clinical. It's hard to determine whether he's just getting more lucky or if he has improved as a player. I'd go with the latter. Very happy with how we have started.

Itfc need a season full of those results ???0

Hi @Ross_Scope,
Absolutely agree with what you say about Bamford, I think he has improved as a player and now maybe playing in the Premier League with no pressure as such has been really beneficial to him. If he carries on playing the way he is, please may I ask, do you think an England call up could be on the cards? I also agree with what you say about Bowen, he is a great player and along with Soucek, he is arguably one of the best signings we've made over the past five years. Bowen made such a difference last season and now he has netted a couple, I'm hoping he can build on this. I know, I was a little surprised by the result, I just think Wolves were having an off day (luckily for us) but we shall see
Thank you. 0 -
@WestHam06
Bowen should definitely start scoring at a more regular rate now he has a couple under his belt, he was lethal in the Championship and I believe he has the ability to be just as lethal in the Premier League too.
Regarding Bamford, I would never say never and it would be hard to ignore him if he keeps scoring at this rate, but it's hard to see him getting ahead of the current striking options England have.0 -
Charlton Athletic the kings of south London are the team for me ?0
-
Hi @Ross_Scope,
Well I'll have to keep my fingers crossed but Bowen is definitely a talent and I'm pleased he is at West Ham. It's true what you say about Bamford, Southgate won't be able to ignore him if he carries on scoring but it is a tough position in the England squad with the likes of Kane and now Ings showing signs of consistency
Thank you
Hi @MrNotquiteDeadYET,
Welcome to the community, it's great to have you with us. A Charlton fan, that's great, please may I ask, what are you thoughts on Lee Bowyer as a manager? Thank you0 -
@MrNotquiteDeadYET
Hello @MrNotquiteDeadYET
I would like firstly welcome to the community.
I think a great question you ask about Lee Bowyer manager I think he is doing an amazing job with the players he has at the club because the owners are not giving money to spend to improve the team. It like he has got one hand tightened behind his back
I look for forwarding to hearing others on the question @MrNotquiteDeadYET has asked.
I would like the scope community do you recon manchester city lacking quality defenders and a striker with Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus injured at moment I think peep should have brought in a quality striker as cover for any injuries happen through the season
I look forward to hearing others views on my question0 -
I think they do lack quality defenders @Globster, but I imagine the signing of Diaz, which they made yesterday, will help with that. Although I hope it doesn't improve them right away since they play my team this weekend
Hello @MrNotquiteDeadYET, how are Charlton getting on this season so far?

Hi @Globster,
Great question that you ask about Manchester City, they definitely do lack quality defenders because other than Laporte they haven't really got anyone at the level of quality that they need though as @Ross_Scope has said that could change with the signing of Diaz. They also need a striker as without Aguero they don't really have a proven goal scorer as I believe Jesus is not up to Aguero's level. That said, I think Pep has had his time with City and think he could really struggle to meet expectations this season, though that is just my opinion. Pep is a quality manager but has never been with a club for more than five seasons, I think, so he is in new territory now and based on the performance against Leicester there are weaknesses within the team. Thank you.0 -
How is everyone feeling about their team's fixture this weekend?0

I can't use the language that is required, @Ross_ScopeRoss_Scope said:How is everyone feeling about their team's fixture this weekend?1 -
Yeah, didn't think you'd be overly delighted @Richard_Scope
To be fair to Liverpool, like three of the goals were quite unlucky deflections.

I managed to watch about 20 minutes. Calvert-Lewin looks impressive, just in time for the Merseyside derby. It's a good job Liverpool have such a strong defence...... :'(0
