Hi please can someone help! I been on long term sick for nearly 2 years my employer want to dismiss me so we have come to a settlement agreement of my 6 weeks notice and any holiday pay accured which is about 2 weeks. Iam on esa contributions based and in a support group but I have asked them an they cannot tell me if my esa will stop due to the settlement agreement it all confusing and cause me stress thanks ?

You should be entitled to more holiday pay if you gave been off that long unless they have paid you up each year you have been off
You should still accrue holiday pay while off sick
Sorry don't know answer to your esa question -
Hi yes I had a full year holiday pay in April I'm concern if the settlement payment will affect my esa mainly

I'm not certain but as you are contributions rather than income based it may not affect your esa
But I'm no esa expert

Hi @Nettyb - & welcome to the community. I'm sorry you have been off sick so long & have had to stop work. As Jane says, with your ESA being contribution based it shouldn't be affected. As far as income goes, your ESA would only be affected if you receive an occupational or personal pension, or a permanent health insurance payment (& then only if that is more than £85 a week), as far as I can see.
