Not bad didn't realise I had a hidden disability have my eye removed in 12 weeks how are you
-
Sometimes people don't realise they have something that can be considered a disability for a long time! I'm glad that advert helped you realise. I can't imagine how scary it might be to have your eye removed, I hope you're coping okay and treating yourself with kindness! How are you feeling about it?
As for me, I'm hanging in there. Not a great day today but hoping I'll feel a little better tomorrow -
I'm doing ok thank you. That must have been a frightening experience for you @debbieproctor42
Sorry to hear you have had a bad day today, @cozyplants - take it one step at a time tomorrow and take care of youKatharine McKnight

@Katharine_Scope, thank you! I'm trying my best. Just laying in bed and waiting for it to pass at the moment. Still trying to work out if it's a flare up or if I have an infection/virus, haha. Never a dull moment with chronic illness.

Welcome to the community @debbieproctor42 It's great that you found us through the ITV advert!
How are you feeling about the operation? Have you been able to cope okay at work?
-
How are you feeling today @cozyplants?
-
@Tori_Scope, I'm feeling a little better today! I managed to make it to an online chronic fatigue support group, which was lovely. Just spending a few hours recouperating now How are you?
-
Oh that sounds great @cozyplants What kind of things do you do during the session?
I'm well- thanks for asking!
-
Glad you're well @Tori_Scope. The sessions are run by ActionForME, and funded by children in need, which is amazing. It's one workshop split into three to get to know other C+YP with ME/CFS, talk about things that are difficult and what makes it easier, some little games and ice-brerakers etc. Mostly just a way to meet people and discuss things that others our age might not understand. Next week is the last session, I believe we'll be focusing on representing our illness though art and writing; which is an amazing coping skill in itself. I might write a little post on here about my experience after the last session, it might be really helpful for other young people in the future

Oh that sounds fantastic @cozyplants! The sessions sound really good, I'm glad they've been helpful.
A post sounds great. Would you be interested in writing this as a guest blog? -
@Tori_Scope, that sounds like a great idea, yes

Fab. I've left a note for Cher, who coordinates our content @cozyplants
