Is the carers element means tested ? If so Google says it effects earnings 🤨

You're confusing carers element with Carers Allowance. Carers element is part of Universal Credit, which is means tested. There's no earnings limit for Carers element.Carer Allowance is a seperate benefit which isn't means tested but has a maximum earnings limit of £132/week after deductions.0

How do you claim caters element and can u claim it if I’m on uc and carers0

Those threads are a different person to the one that just asked the question. (i agree this is what happens when members ask questions on other peoples threads.. confusion)
