I have told my doctor on numerous occasions but he just says he’s sorry I feel this way and tries to help me with my lack of sleep and says it will help lift my mood

It sounds like panic at the thought of getting help. It may sound strange but the feelings of upset and depression can become comforting when it becomes the only staple in your life and the thought of addressing it can be distressing. It's also because it means admitting to yourself there is a problem you need help with. This isn't something you should work through alone. Where are you trying to look for help at the moment?allisonnixon27 said:I think I need help with my mental health but whenever I try to look for help I can’t seem to breathe properly and I cry uncontrollably.i feel so lost -
Hi @allisonnixon27, it can be really hard to ask for help. I imagine it's taken a lot of courage just for you to ask here, thank you for doing so. We're here to help you find support, I'm going to post some links to services where you can get help. I struggled myself with feeling like a burden to others and avoiding help, eventually I realised that people do want to help. We support each other.
