thanks for all the well wishes today folks, we ended up going to the beach for a drive, which was nice and calming, now i'm having a few beers as i do once a week, that will help me sleep, anyway take care all xx3

If I got caught in a hail shower when I was out with our last dog @66Mustang she'd walk with her eyes closed until it stopped.
Scout isn't bothered by it.1 -
Are you able to take it easy tonight @Marydoll5?2

I hope you get to visit the coast soon @Ada, it is relaxing, my demons only quiet down for a time while i'm there, i hear constant negative voices, and they quiet down when i'm there, all a part of my complex PTSD, which i'm living with, anyway, take care and enjoy the rest of your evening xx1

This community and everyone in it are what makes scope special and the reason I come back everyday for the past 3 years.I'm just relaxing today and trying to recover, I still don't feel 100% but feeling abit better knowing my bloods are some what okay and nothing to overly worry about.Have a good night everyone.2

Morning all
I am here today @Ada, I'll be leaving earlier around 4ish though. I hope the new meds do work @Ada, give them time. If they don't work after a while then they don't work!
My sister also has ADHD, but she gave up on medication quite quickly. Personally I feel a little too quickly, she had never reached a point she was taking it regularly (given how hard habits can be with ADHD it took me some time too). So just stopped taking them at all. She is doing better now after she's had therapy, but I wish she'd tried sticking with the medication a little longer.
I think it's good you said no to changing too much at once. Change things step by step, gradually, I find it's always been better in the long-term. If these new meds work then you can see about changing your morning meds maybe, if the doctor still thinks it would help?1 -
I'm okay today thank you, a little groggy but otherwise well
good luck with your call1 -
Hi everyone!!
@Ada you are never too old to start something different or to try to improve your life!!
Age is, in some ways, only relevant when used view yourself relative to others...i.e. comparison...which in mental health, comparison/competition with others is usually something to be absolutely avoided
View yourself as an individual and if you are 15 or 100+ it doesn't matter, if something is good for you then do it
Honestly I sometimes think I am too old or too far gone, and I am "only" 30!!
When I was 18 I couldn't imagine being 25, thought that was ancient
When I was 25 I thought 30 was old
Now I'm 30 it's fine
I'm sure when I am 40 I will feel fine and think 30 was young
Sorry if this sounds like am lecturing but I just wanted to comment to try to make you feel a bit better3 -
@Sandy_123
I hope you manage to go!!! My Granny used to live near there and I went a few times, my favourite room was the gun room, the walls are lined with hundreds of old guns!!2 -
Morning Scope family, hope you all had a restful night.I woke up with a burst of energy this morning at around 7ish so went to the supermarket and did some shopping, starting to feel abit grim now though. I have my nan coming down today and I think we are going to the chippy again for lunch, my treat this time.Hope you all have a good day.1
