My Mum just had a delivery of some birthday cards from Amazon
They (understandably) came in a card-sized folder but this was bigger than our (standard) letterbox so the driver folded it in half and pushed it through
He could have knocked on the door and waited 15 seconds, but instead he probably has to come back in a couple of days to deliver some replacements1 -
I've bought some sensor lights that go above my front door as I'm sure some one tried the handle the other night. They look like cameras, so will feel a bit safer, the other one will go round the back. Led so very bright. Coming today1

I bought some new shades for my ceiling lights that match my big lamp a couple of days ago, but ordered the wrong size spacers to put them on with, so had to order some spacers from amazon. They are up now and look really nice.

Ada said:I’ve got my compost coming either today or tomorrow just Need the rain to stop.
Going to do the months freezer shop later.
Going to cut back without mr knowing on my own food ( we eat differently) so I can buy some more seeds. And hope they come whilst he’s in bed.
He wouldn’t mind me buying them. But would mind my cutting my food back as I eat very poorly already.
Its the only way I can afford them.
Look after yourself, you need your strength still.

I just bought a mystery bottle of whisky
Sometimes one of the more expensive distilleries produces too much whisky and instead of flooding the market and damaging their "exclusive" image they bottle it under a different name and sell it via a third party who is not allowed to disclose where it came from
It's kind of like a legal version of "this fell off the back of a lorry, wanna buy it??"
I paid £34.99 instead of maybe £50-100+2 -
