I don't know how things work in deepest darkest rural Wales but here in a small English town we don't actually need a landline for broadband to piggyback off of anymore - we all just use mobile phones and got rid of the home telephone and we don't pay for the landline anymore, it's not a prerequisite to access broadband
1 -
Yeah, we don't pay for a landline either, they offer you a "discount" if you take a landline, but the discount is never more than just taking the broadband by itself.

@Ada those are the social tariffs that lou is talking about. Really worth looking into.
@Teigr hope your husband is well
@Sandy_123 that's good you have your son and less hassle to holiday with
More good news today, my partner has been given all clear to fly from August so I booked flights to London for my sons wedding. A lot easier than ferry and car. I'm so happy 😊

That is good news @Marydoll5 yes Alot easier and quicker too

I don’t pay for the landline I just pay the internet but it connects through the landline but just pay the one bill so I can watch Netflix and other online shows.
I use my mobile data when I’m out. I just thought it was a good idea for Ada to hopefully get a better broadband that she will be able to get on here more.

Just back from the cinema, me and the missus had a date night, movie then out for tea, we saw bad boys ride or die, really enjoyable, a great popcorn movie.
the meal after was really nice, done in now, not used to all the excitement, lol

He's not too bad thanks everyone, just feeling tired and a bit wobbly.

We're fine thanks @Sandy_123 ,he's in the bath now;he was feeling very grubby after sitting around in his dirty working gear for almost two days.
He was supposed to take his mother to a hospital appointment next week and he won't be allowed to drive for a while,so we've told her that he's got a problem with his inner ear.
She'd get herself into a right state if we told her the truth and we've got enough to deal with.
