So you wouldn't lose out anyway and it will be frozen at your normal amount pls can I ask who helps with forms I won't be able to do it right thanks for replying

You won't lose out when you claim and as I advised some will be entitled to more. Citizens Advice have a help to claim phone number.
There will also be support in place for those most in need when migrating from ESA. I'm sure you've heard about those 500 people that are being migrated across from now, this is what this is for so they can gather more information on the issues that some may have when claiming.
if you're living in either Wolverhampton or East Suffolk then you could be one of those chosen for the trial. If you don't live in those areas then you won't be moving across just yet.

I think from September to December 2025 I'm putting extra on rent and trying to save
0 -
Yes because they don't pay council tax either. Why can't they of kept it like it is.
0 -
Oh OK uc don't pay council tax ? I've got bedroom tax as well and can't rent room out ??
0 -
Council Tax reduction has never been part of UC. This still needs to be claimed from your local authority, as it is now. I advised you this on another thread earlier today.
0 -
So when you apply will they cover council tax ??
0 -
I mean will council cover council tax
0 -
Yes, it's through local authority (council) same as it is now. It will be recalculated based on your UC entitlement. I can't give any further advice on that because all LAs have their own rules.
Can I ask if your ESA includes the Severe disability Premium?
0 -
Yes it does and pip
0 -
Thank you. Then your UC will include TP. I also see that you have a spare bedroom, are you aware that you maybe able to claim for an extra bedroom if you need regular overnight care. See link for more information. https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/benefits/help-if-on-a-low-income/housing-benefit/how-an-extra-bedroom-affects-your-housing-benefit/check-if-youre-allowed-an-extra-bedroom-for-housing-benefit/ to claim this then speak to your local Authority.

Can I ask will we know before election what labour proposing for benefits or thier say after
0 -
Ah I hate it when they want bank statements I feel they look and judge your life that's what puts me off
0 -
This isn't available in all Local authorities. I just had a look on mine and there's nothing available. What each one may offer will depend on what funding they received for this tax year.
