are they saying HOW they are going to do it or do they just plan to flick a magic wand and hope that disabled people are back to work

it’s always the same with whatever government comes in of whatever colour. They make bold statements and threats even but in the end nothing really changes. They know they can’t magic sick people into work but they have to make the right noises. In the meantime the sick and disabled are castigated for something they can do little or nothing about. Disgraceful behaviour as usual.

No one has really written a summary or even coherent snippets

some seem upset with something Stephen timms said

Some seem to be talking like pip’s going to be axed

And the comment on wanting 80% to go into work - I think that 80% is referring to the labour aim mentioned a month or so ago is the goal of having 80% of working age Brits (16-66 state pension age) in some sort of employment……..which for the record that 80% has never been achieved by any government so it’s a tall order (not 80% of all working age disabled in employment unless timms said something new………it’s an impossible goal bcos even if they pressure the disabled they can’t pressure employers to hire disabled employees if they don’t want to)

I do think that many on scope need to understand why we seem to be in this perfect storm and be more realistic and open on the things they could be able to do in the right circumstances and with the right help (human based, financial and physical aid based help)

That being said the government need to be significantly more realistic on their own goals because based on the snippets we have so far, as my father puts it “what planet are they on…..” needless to say I haven’t heard anything yet to suggest the relevant labour dwp figures have more of a clue than their Tory counterparts (spoiler….i don’t think they do) - I mean today Kendall several times today seems to have suggested that you have to apply for pension credit via your local council (I think you have to apply for pension credit via dwp……………..Kendall has poorly briefed herself if I’ve understood that right)
