Can someone please point me to evidence that current support group won't be thrown off LCWRA? I was under the impression that that was a misunderstanding that was quickly corrected after it was misreported at the time. I'm pretty sure that they reworded it as "unless they have a change in circumstances or a reassessment" which as we know, happens to all of us eventually. Personally I haven't had a WCA since 2018, I've no doubt that when I'm migrated to UC I'll be in line for one, if it's after April, it will be under the new rules? Which as I'm under the substantial risk rules, would mean me being thrown into the LCW group, with all the meetings, work prep and sanctions that go with it. I won't be able to do that. I hope Ellen Clifford is successful, many of us really need her to be.

I'm sure she will be, she's a very determined woman

Thanks for sharing the assembly’s views! I agree that the job coaching service sounds promising, especially since it’s open to outpatients receiving talking therapies. It’s great to see such initiatives being trialled at a well regarded institution like Slam.
While I recognise that these initiatives may not be suitable for everyone, I believe some members could find this approach very helpful in their quest to re-enter the workplace. It’s important that we support each other in finding the right paths for our individual needs.
Out of interest, what is your assembly currently focusing on, and who is organising it?

Good question! You will be reassessed under the rules introduced by the Welfare Reform and Work Act 2016.

What does that entail what will the question be changed to???

So what will be exceptional circumstances for lwcra now I understand saying people will lose 400 something a month oh ffs from thinking be ok to realising this

I think she will be reigned in. As many have alluded to the fact that it seems a fundamental screw is lose with this one. If it gets too much for you, I am glad you have your Mum for back up.1 -
thanks and you're likely right luck pushing doesn't even cover it.

I am a bit experienced with these things. I read the funding was £64 million and it was started in a few MH hospitals and has been a success. How these type of projects usually start out and how its rolled out nationally, is sometimes different. It has started out voluntary, with specialist well trained disability aware work coaches, selected patients who are in a good place, looking to work, probably with some good paid job opportunities lined up for them and access to work support in place and everything has run smoothly. Now if could be rolled out nationally like this, great but it could be rolled out with:
Generic, uncaring work coaches who have no understanding of disability let alone MH challenges. No longer voluntary join or lose out financially, no counselling support involved, no jobs lined up but pressure to find work yourself quickly, Access to work support assessment only after the current 7 month wait time, and it's another story.
Need to see how it will be rolled out. These for profit organisations have a way of always having a success to begin with at the trial stages and spending more to ensure this and carefully selecting the claimants. When they roll out, cost saving techniques are used. I hope I am proved wrong.
