Nightcity Know what you mean though about Sertraline making it worse. I decided to give it up when I drove to an event, parked my car in a field car park, got out, had a panic attack, decided to abort the trip, turned round and had no idea where I was and spent about 90 mins looking for my car. I never even left the car park, and it wasn't big. That did it for me. I didn't get instantly disorientated, lost, confused, panicked, sick, before I started taking it. And I never have since I stopped taking it. Still think you should ask your GP first though - I was quite annoyed because I found out (after I highlighted all the problems) there were alternatives to try but I wasn't offered any, despite the fact that that drug clearly disagreed with me. It seems you have to not only know your own condition and know your rights these days but you have to take charge of it all yourself and fight for things too.

I could never work unfortunately (unless it was 100% at home on my terms) I can't get through one NOT one day without two or three minimum incidents.
I have chronic prostate disease aka prostatitis, now for 10 years that alone ruins my life, on bad days (no exaggeration) I can urinate up to 30 times a day and often as every 15 minutes. and there's no build up warning I go immediately to a bathroom or have an accident it's absolutely disgusting no wonder I rarely leave home, this is before we get on to chronic migraines (at least one a week since age 8) and we're not even getting to the autism, ADHD, tourettes, depression, anxiety and colitis yet!

Albus_Scope That's exactly it! I don't need more than 15 mins sometimes, I just have to zone out and go off grid ๐
Catherine21 I admire you that you've even tried all these things, like getting married, I didn't even dare go there! You've actually achieved far more than many do, don't underestimate yourself โค When I'm burnt out I'm horrid, I totally admit it. I get angry quick like a tired child who needs to go to bed lol
People always used to tell me I just needed to grow up. It's unkind and insulting, but in a funny way I can see that, to them, my tired petulance, inability to know I'm hungry or need the toilet, simplistic view on life and happiness in small things probably DOES put me more akin to a toddler lol

Nightcity That's really interesting that you get songs in your head, so do I! Sometimes I wake up with one - no idea where they come from ๐

I would never get married Catherine, that's far too much for me, so as eeL says that's a whopping achievement.
I'd consider a relationship again one day but not marriage, not me,never lol

Oh it was so hard being married twice !! And yes I didn't realise at time I'd have major tantrums over my milk being used or I just wanted to escape so I go to spare room and I'd get come in front room watch a film in my head I'd be screaming leave me alone I'd have to force myself to be normal well like a couple I hated it but I was young and hated being on my own but hated being with anyone telling me what to do was the worst never took instructions well but at the age 52 I'm glad to be on my own space with my two dogs I'm not yearning for anything just peace to have a million conversations with myself lol and my daughter she visits often

Nightcity You sure have alot to deal with -be nice to yourself โค
I don't see any of it as disgusting, we all have to urinate and some of us aren't blessed with bladder control ๐ My mother has Parkinson's and lung cancer - I recently had to take her to cancer treatment and pretty much every time she passed out on me and wet herself. I don't find it embarrassing at all - that's life for some of us - the more fortunate shouldn't judge. I don't know where the human race started being so prissy about bodily functions - we all do them. Not colitis but I've got several eating and digestive issues, used to get migraines VERY badly until I was sick, now not as often but still sometimes - I get it. But you know what? You're still a bloomin' decent person, I'd rather have you as a friend than half the able bodied nitwits lol

Oh guys, just so you know, 'work' for me includes LOADS of incidents daily, multiple meltdowns, tantrums, arguments, crying, breakdowns, you name it - I only have a job because my employer can't get staff because he's rude, patronising, greedy, a slave driver, illegal, a bad payer, the hours are awful (minimum 3hrs unpaid 6 days a week) and most of the staff have no idea what they're doing lol It's a nightmare and I have no life and still can't pay the bills, everyone at work hates me lol
Some days I can laugh it off, some days it destroys me. I don't think I'd qualify for any help so I have to keep trying. But it ain't easy AT ALL. Been fired more than Alan Sugar's apprentices lol Part of the reason my mental health's bad - tiredness, poor eating, social conflict, being disliked/ rejected and at times bullied. There's no easy way around having a disability; we probably all have different circumstances but we all struggle the same โค

Catherine21 You're absolutely right, it's totally toxic at work! It's a relief to be on this site conversing with people who are supportive and not backstabbing, opinionated, ignorant gits lol The only comfort (?) is it's not just me, they're not even nice to each other! That's why I'm so appreciative of you guys and, trust me, your disabilities are a bonus though you don't know it, because they make you the humble, respectful, kind, non entitled, helpful and caring souls that you are. You never need apologise for being you - your suffering in life has made you the beautiful people that you are and the world is a better place for having you (and certainly my life is better for having you). I'd pick any one of you for my 'wing man' over and above an able bodied person any day. They'll never have what you haveโคโคโค

Never again lol nope
That's lovely thankyou and visa versa everyone on here so so kind helpful in so grateful ๐
