I think it's more for young people today to get them into work or training. They could help those on sickness benefit do some volunteering if there able and still get benefit. The media lump us as scroungers which is unfair. It is hard to get Pip as it is. I think the dwp should push back esa migration until 28 , until they sort of universal credit and make it easier if you have problems. Seems to me its aimed at jobseekers.

I wondered if it was ok to ask if anyone here who has Autism may suffer with stomach issues. I have read Autism and stomach issues are linked. I hope it was ok to ask.

Thank you @Nightcity. I'm exactly the same. I did read that autism is connected to this issue. I'm very similar to yourself. I'm having a bit of an issue at the moment. Thanks again for your feedback ๐Ÿ˜Š.

I have always had a pretty sensitive gut although it's better now than it was when I was a kid. My mother blamed a bad bout of gasterenteritis I had as a small child but now she thinks that might have also been connected. There doesn't seem to be any medical research into this, however. Unfortunately there's way more research money still in social behaviour aspects and normalisation rather than all the various medical questions that keep cropping up around autism and the spectrum in general :/ Maybe one day.

Hi Strawbs, there does seem to be a link between autism and the alimentary canal - the largest internal organ we have. An important organ then!

I was random vomiting aged 4 then survived a ruptured appendix and two emergency surgeries aged 9. I've never been right in that department but a low FODMAP diet has massively improved my wellbeing and mobility.

I was bulimic in my teens and twenties. Eating disorders and digestive disorders are common in ASD it would seem.

I have tried herbal stuff in the past @Catherine21 , I have such a sensitive gut that even herbal stuff makes things even worse. I really have to be very careful what I take. Sending gentle hugs your way ๐Ÿค—. Please take care ๐Ÿ™‚
