could you not submit a meter reading yourself i believe they only have to come read a meter every 2 years themselves the onus is down to the customer to be vigilant and honest and pay for what they use

i would imagine the 400 a month would consist of what was used during the month and a portion of what was owed from many months previous get a smart meter then you can see your usage without bending down or get a prepayment meter
