100% agree and it makes no sense economically either as literally all of my money goes back into the economy whereas if the rich get tax breaks etc it will just go to an offshore account

I know LBC is not for some but at 6:39 Steve Wright is opposing the benefits cuts and from 7 am Nick will be talking about the benefit cuts

Can the government make PIP means tested?

Yes. But it would necessitate new legislation. Similarly, if they decided to make PIP taxable income.

Let's please remember that everything currently is just speculation and rumour. Even if someone on Tiktok is saying "this is definitely happening" until there's an official government announcement, it's just a rumour.

@Catherine21 As you probably know, Labour MPs are being called to Downing Street before the weekend. All of them. I don't think Reeves/Starmer/Kendal thought they'd have to try to convince the backbenchers that the mooted reforms are "moral".

@Albus_Scope I think that the leak to ITV News last week and analyses by some excellent political journalists can be considered more than "speculation" and "rumour", which is why the triumvirate of Starmer, Reeves, and Kendal are going all out to get their backbenchers on side.
